I've said long before - he never gave a damn about football, winning, team.

He got his big money, and spent it like hunter. No class, all about himself, a user and abuser.

and he sucks at being a qb. I miss guys like Nelson (I don't remember Graham or Plum).... Sipe, Kosar, Baker,

even Winston cares to the max.

The Browns all too often draft on college stats on paper, it seems.

The list of guys who didn't give a damn is long. Like Wills and his "business decision".

Unfortunately we have taken on far too many over the years who just didn't give a damn once they signed for guaranteed money. And you're right about Winston even with all his turnover faults. He gives everything and more to help this team to the best of his ability.

About a year ago, while Joe Flacco was QBing a team that was making being a Browns fan fun again, I posted a three or four different threads that I felt Watson was a bad teammate, didn't care about the Browns, didn't care about Cleveland and didn't care about the fanbase. Some chided my stance and persistence.

Well, see above....

Just so ya know,  I worked with a gentleman (he was a VP where I used to work) where he and his wife knew Bill Nelson personally and said that, Actually he was kind of an a-hole.

The media surrounding pro football back then was TOTALLY, 100% different than it is today.  They weren't spending every waking hour on digging up dirt on players.

I'm actually ok with this, even though it's a bad look.

Sends a subliminal message to the fan base & organization. Hopefully the Ivy League guys can finally see he doesn't care.

I don't wish any I'll will on DW. I just doubt he goes through the whole rehab thing thinking he's coming back to Cleveland. I'm sure he's happier without the boos & scrutiny in his life.

You’d think the people on this board who bitch and moan about how they wish Watson would just go away wouldn’t be upset when he “goes away”. 🤣

Constantly glossed over on here by so many is the fact that Baker showed up to the Browns his second season completely out of shape and by according to one Browns coach “It appears he didn’t open his playbook once all offseason.” Remember the four interception fiasco he had in Green Bay his last season? Word got out that homeboy was up until 5 am before the game playing the video game Call of Duty. If anyone wants to shit on Watson, knock yourself out, but there’s a legitimate reason why it was leaked that the Browns wanted an adult at quarterback after Baker was traded. They swung and missed doing so, though.

Not bad points except for the fact that he won a National Championship erasing a deficit to defeat Nick Saban's defensive roster loaded with talent before going to the NFL. He also clobbered a really good Ohio State team that couldn't find any solutions for stopping him. Then in the NFL he led a Houston team to the playoffs in his 2nd and 3rd NFL seasons while making the Pro Bowl on both occasions.  Not only that (an this could be wrong), the fallout with him and Houston was his perception that they weren't going to commit what it took to win for any length of time in terms of putting/keeping good players around him.

To me, it seemed like there was a passion for football from this guy until the Browns gave him a ridiculous amount of guaranteed money while giving up a lot of high draft picks to do that.  We don't have that guy that was willing to compete to beat even into Houston when he rallied his team to beat Josh Allen and the Bills in the playoffs.  That guy doesn't exist any more; and I'll probably never convince those that hate him he ever did.

Yeah , That was a head scratching moment.. Johnny boy was mentally ill from the get... From a physical standpoint he was talented as all get out.. But what ever festers between his ears just worked against him..  Todd Marijuanovich was subdued compared to JM.

All he cares about his own happy endings... Cuz he sure as hell don't care about Cleveland or the team.

This is where I agree with the haters.  His ass belongs on the sidelines with that sideline tablet in his hands.

I never liked the person that he is...but I set that aside because if the team wins games with him, then, that's why the players play the game.  And that's why we root for the team.  The team is bigger than the individual player.  But if he's going to be suspended, or constantly injured....and can never get 'in the swing' of things with the team...and the team moves on from him...then I certainly support that action.

Even Juan Soto thinks Watson's contract is bullshit

And yet we still have the people who made that contract in jobs with the Browns. For a smart businessman, Jimmah is sure one dumb owner.🥴

Whether it was Billy or Cheesecakes or Crablegs - they all played their best football when they had their weapon of mass destruction (Mike Evans).  Nothing like a hard working 6'5" scoring threat with great hands, good speed and a wing span covering 2 area codes...

LOL! And our area code is now experiencing freezing weather because everyone knows that water freezes at 40F in Texas and this morning we hit 34F with a freeze warning issued @ -6 below freezing. 🌬️❄️🥶

All fair points. Guy was at a high level. But his drop off also lined up with the massage stuff too. So it could have been that and not the money.

I notice no one hypothesizes that Watson’s issues stem from mental illness. I suppose that only happens for a certain QB demographic on here to excuse horrible behavior 😂
