Orion Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 Not that any of this matters anymore...or that anyone cares anymore...but in for a penny, in for a pound. So, who'd have thought that we'd be passing for more yards than the Chiefs this late in the season? Sadly though, we can't run...so we have to pass. And that's not going to change this week as the Chiefs are quite strong against the run. Aside from that, the two teams are fairly evenly matched. We get sacked a ton, but they're not a big sacking defense. This is potentially a trap game for Chiefs players. It's possible that they might not be taking us as seriously as they should. We could sneak in a win here. And I feel that all of our remaining games are winnable. Although one could argue that that's not what we want at this point. We're in the midst of a race to the highest draft pick possible....and we're in the lead pack jockeying for position. I know that Stef has declared Winston as the starting QB for the rest of the season. But in reality we need to see more of DTR in the starting lineup to determine where his ceiling is at. There's a large body of work already in place for Winston. But how could you possibly take the starting job away from Winston? He gives it his all....and he now holds the Browns record for most passing yards in a game, beating out Kosar. ( thanks Denver! you suck!) It would be a huge slap in the face to Winston, something that there's no way that he deserves. 1 Quote
Dutch Oven Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 I’m not predicting a Browns victory, but I wouldn’t be shocked if once again this season they win a game at home that doesn’t make sense on paper. 1 1 Quote
Bob806 Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 Well I'm hoping for the best, but Andy Reid knows that exploiting the Browns D on the edges/sideline with quick throws is the key to chunk yardage plays. Browns will need several turnovers to hang in there. Quote
tiamat63 Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 Chiefs are +6 on us in turnover differential. This is that game where everyone takes CLE to cover because of the amount of single score games KC has been in. But if KC can take care of the ball, I can see it being a 2 score margin. Chiefs -2.5. 1 Quote
Ibleedbrown Posted December 14, 2024 Report Posted December 14, 2024 Once again a pretty good chunk of the nation gets to see our Brownies in action this weekend, though that probably has more to do with the team we’re playing. Those of us in SOhio are SOL, but the rest of you Buckeyes are good seeing the game in the comfort of your own homes, including my usually forsaken homies in Van Wert. Does anyone else think its weird that the largest city in Missouri decided to name itself after its neighbor state to the west? That would be like New York City deciding that it should be called Pennsylvania City. That never made sense to me. https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2024&wk=15 1 Quote

I believe that's 4 of the last 5 for the Brownies I've nailed. Hopefully people are paying attention and taking my advice. Quote

It was named after the Kansas River and KC was basically the starting point of the Santa Fe Trail. I am fascinated by this history 1 1 Quote
