THE BROWNS BOARD

The way the Browns draft is what they are

passed on Ben and took Winslow and gave up a draft choice.

passed on DeAngelo Williams.

took a tackle instead of Adrian Peterson

never made a deal to get either Rivers or Brees when they were available.

gave up two picks to get Quinn.

you can see why this franchise plays toilet football. Is it Modell's fault? nope.

Is it the Browns fault? yes it is.

So why the surprise every year when the Ravens and Steelers go to the playoffs and the Browns sit at home? Anyone with a smidgen of football acumen has insight as to why the Browns are shitty.

Then I will definitely start listening to you.

Please give me more info like when its 3 and 7 you have to at least go past the first down marker to get a first down.

Barry Sanders ran behind a crappy line and EXCELLED.

Did he need a franchise tackle ? no, he created his own yardage.

so you would rather have a overrated linemen rather than having Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Ben, DeAngelo Williams, Adrian Peterson?

Why then aren't your RB's running and your QB's scoring?

It seems football is only hard to grasp in Cleveland. Most other teams "get it"

you obviously don't.

How many Super Bowls did the Lions have when Barry was there?

How about playoff victories?

How about just wins in general?

Thought so.

Since we've drafted Joe Thomas, those are good questions for us.

100 million dollar line hasn't helped us win many games. At least with Peterson, it would be exciting.

I'm sorry, but RB's can be found every year.

You need all the pieces to the puzzle.

Problem with RB's is shelf life. A great RB has 6-8 years. Jamal only had 5 great years. LT had 7. You catch my drift.

Franchise left tackles don't come around but every few years, and it's arguably the 2nd most important position in the entire game.

Probably AP, deanglo, brees, rivers, and brady would all be bad in cleveland.

Unless we would have built the OL and the DL in the first two or three years. Then, we would be in MUCH better shape here. But, we went skill positions and tried to build around that. That is a basketball approach. It doesn't work in the NFL. With that approach, you will either ruin talented players careers, or the guys you draft won't succeed until they go somewhere else. Sounds like hindsite 20/20 but it really is just commom sense that the Browns have ignored ever since returning.
