ATENEARS
what is with this if shit. Get your lazy ass to Cleveland. How many opportunities will we have to make fun of skippys plastic pants in person? All we need to do is figure out a way to cut off the leash that flugels is wearing. Pack up the new chick and get your ass to the game. I believe that Flugel set Zippy up with the Warden's sister. Zippy hasn't been told he isn't allowed to attend yet, he's just been too sheepish to ask permission. I just tell HagII how it hangs ...

HowieDawg
Wow what a weekend it is shaping up to be, delighted that I am going to be able to meet the two legends that are MarkO and Ballpeen. I had a message from Tink also who says that he has tickets for the game so will be in town for the tailgate and possibly the Saturday too. Ballpeen, I have a gators cap that I had to buy in an emergency whilst in Florida last year to stop my baldy head from getting charbroiled, I'll wear it to deflect any gator's suck attention away from you! 5 weeks to go, whooo hooo. 3 days of sport and beer, bring it on. MarkO, what kind of shorts are you wearing? I don't the embarrassing situation of us turning up at the tailgate with the same ones on. Howie. kamac19
damn I hate being so weak willed when it comes to a good party, going to have to sweet talk the bank manager and my new boss for time off, and get my ass back over there again, already got tickets bought and paid for the games at Will Call, so just need to look into the flights and hotels again. Sounding far too much like going to be a hell of a weekend to miss out on, so might even go AWOL from Military just to come over lol, and am sure they would understand it probably more of a punishment to watch the browns at moment than getting locked up so will let me off am sure lol !!!, Will let know for in week or two. Mark O
Yeah, good point, don't be wearing matching Jean shorts. I don't own a pair of jean shorts. I wouldn't mind a nice warm sweatshirt from the browns store though.

Awesome! Let us know if we can help you with any accomodations. I just received an e-mail from Pat Fought. Mark, you may remember Pat and his son who was also from San Diego, they came out last year the same weekend you did. Pat says he's in, and the first rounds on him ... actually he said, "I'm buying the booze", but we'll just hold him to the first round. I'll have to work on his son, Rob, and get his ass to travel with pop. Zippy is still building up his confidence to ask WardenII. Flugel? You promised to do a beer-bong while standing on your head. This is the weekend for such a talent! Chickpea John, the wife read to me today that flights are cheap to and from Hartford right now on Southwest Airlines ... she's already scheming for the next gambling trip and I told her you all have the largest casino in the land. ATENEARS
Hey all, I'm thinking about putting together a Clam Bake or Wing Nite for us all on Saturday evening. I'm getting several inquiries per day for this weekend and thought throwing a nice event for Saturday Night. Secure a Party Room with large screen TV's to watch the SEC Championship game and other games, eat some good food, have a few cocktails and a good time. We have a long day on Sunday with the 4pm kick-off, so thought maybe focus more on food and camraderie for Saturday Night and not the drunkfest we had last year before Opening Day. I recommend that everyone stay out in Middleburg Hts. See our Hotel Directory for assistance. Howie, I know that you and G-man want to party it up in the city that night, but maybe come out to the suburbs and have dinner with us and we will get you transported back downtown around 10pm or so and you can rock all nite the rest of the evening down there. I'm going to check with some establishments around here to get some pricing on a per person for a clam bake, or wings. Between facebook, e-mail, and this thread, I'll keep everyone informed and you all let me know your arrival times and lodging as well.
buster
FYI I stayed at the Holiday inn on lakeside drive (I think it might now be called doubletree) last year for the Sunday nighter. Anyways.........it was a good hotel if anyone is looking to find somewhere decent downtown and near the stadium. Have fun guys (and ladies)

Clams work, wings work, both work for that matter. As long as they don't mind a real Gator in the house, and I might get drunk, but I budget cab money, so count me in....let me know. Shoot Howie, I am a Tennessee redneck. I might take a cab with you back downtown and show you how it's done. ATENEARS
Who said the SEC game was at 4:00pm and how do you know? it makes a difference in booking a place for a party, they typically rent the place from noon-4:00pm and from 6:00pm-10:00pm. I need to know for sure.
Mark O
well dipshit....it was me who said the game started at 4 eastern and I found using this amazing new invention called the internet and a site called google and I typed in 2009 SEC championship game into the little box and the following results came up: The 2009 SEC Championship Game will be played on December 5, 2009 in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia to determine the 2009 football champion of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Kickoff between the SEC East Champion and SEC West Champion will be at 4:00 ET for the third straight year, and the SEC West Champion will be the designated home team. CBS will televise the game for the ninth straight season
Mark O
Keeping this one up near the top so that Zombo doesn't forget to book his flight to Cleveland for the game and just maybe we can guilt Flugel into asking for a weekend furlough from the warden... I Thanks Stan. We would love to come out to the burbs and do dinner especially if it's wings! I love wings, can't get decent ones here. I'm up for keeping myself relatively in check on the Saturday so that i can unleash hell on Sunday morning. Can we get a cab from the burbs back to Downtown?? Next year maybe we stay out your way........ I'll keep checking out what's going on through TBB / facebook etc. Ballpeen, I love Tennessee rednecks, we should get on fine!! I can tell you about the time I was arrested in Knoxville back in "92 All the best guys, Howie.
ballpeen
Catching a cab would be easy...seems like it would run about $20 each way. I myself would take the rapid from Terminal Tower out to the airport...seems like that is $2 each way, and then catch a cab from the airport to wherever it is we end up. The airport to Bagley Road (Middlegurg Hgts.) might be 4-5 miles(if that far)...so the cab fare would be greatly reduced...then reverse the process...and who knows, people would be leaving anyway, you could probably catch a ride with someone back to the airport or the Brookpark rapid stop. Thanks Stan. I've been slow on the board recently hence missing this post, sorry. Only three weeks to go, I'm into full planning mode. Re Saturday night, I guess we can fix plans on Friday night when we meet pre / post Cavs. We want to do the backers bash at the blind pig early evening Saturday but then are ready to head wherever by about 7pm. If I win the silent auction I'll be turning up in a signed helmet I'll PM you about arrangements for the Friday night the week we leave, can't wait. At the time it was in the mid-80 degree weather and they didn't look so appealing. I think I'll get one for the wife though, better than dragging a blanket from the tailgate area to the stadium and back. Hey, I think that is MarkO in the center!
