THE BROWNS BOARD

I just want to enjoy a game

Can't believe how much we all schedule around the Browns, and for them to not even give us much more than a quarter of decent play is pathetic.

I really would like to seek out a 9-step program or something that help me give up being a fan. This shit ain't healthy.

It's painful, the lack of talent combined with the high school offensive gameplan.

add that with DB's that won't bang, OLB's that can't play in a space larger then a 2 yard radius around them.. It's makes for long sundays.

Someone get Barton a ticket out of town..Mangini won't hestitate to move out the young guard for making a mistake..this schlub is a brown and orange pylon out there..yet he trots out to get abused down after down.

FURIOUS

to make it worse, CBS isn't airing any games or I would turn this shit off....I can't believe it, but I would actually turn off a Browns game if there was another game on

ATENEARS, look at the bright spot, I pay $160/year for the NFL ticket so I can watch the Browns "play". I'm a die-hard Browns fan, and that's really the only reason I pay every year for it. What a waste of money :( :( :(

You and me both. They're the sole reason I pay for the service and it's been nothing short of a kick in the ass every year.

I hear ya bud! More like a kick in the adam's apple. I'm not sure if it's better to go without football or to pretend we have an NFL team the Lerner family continues to cash in on.

We've played like an expansion team for 9 of the 11 years:

1999 - 2 wins

2000 - 3 wins

2001 - 7 wins (but 2 losses were in OT)

2002 - 9 wins (only playoff season)

2003 - 5 wins?

2004 - 4 wins?

2005 - 6 wins

2006 - 4 wins

2007 - 10 wins

2008 - 4 wins

2009 - who cares?????

- Tom F. (Even our field goals are getting F-ugly)

It is depressing. I don't know how much longer I can take it. Although I don't get as upset as in my younger days, it still pisses me off. How come we can never seem to get it right? Always make the bust draft picks. Bust head coach picks, etc. Maybe we are jinxed?

Same here guys... they certainly are not showing the Browns in Arizona.. on the bright side.. If I lived in Cleveland and paid for season tickets, I would be suicidal.

well in ny and refuse to pay until the browns actually play like men who aren't afraid to get hit. from top to bottom nuthin but pussies. and why the hell did we hire another belichek bitch who stands on the sidelines like a lump of shit. no emotions. same with crennel. look what the jets have done since mangini left. they used him for their benefit via draft/trades like a worn out hooker after mardi gras.

I did too. Even closer to $300, IIRC, for the HD and Red Zone thing. I called to cancel (had every intention of doing so) and was passed off to a retention specialist who offered to bring it down to $150 with the RZ channel thrown in for free. Sold.

I've heard from others who are only paying $100 for the package.

I've also heard from people who threatened to cancel in hopes of getting a terrific deal. They wound up having their service shut off without a single plea from DTV to retain their business. Guess it's a matter of getting the right CS person on the phone.

One thing I've found when it comes to rates for just about every thing imaginable: Everything is negotiable in this current market.

Yeah but it's not about getting a deal it's about the fact that paying a dollar would be too much to watch this team.

I had a great Sunday...woke up late after a night of partying hard (today's my birthday), got mildly excited when i realized it was 1:01 and the game might have started (I've separated my emotions much like RifferX), listened in on Field Pass (at college, no ride to sports bar this week), and was well on my way to a deep, restorative nap, starting sometime around halftime and lasting until around 4:30. I woke up refreshed, surveyed the damage, lamented and sulked for a minute or two, and went about the rest of my day.

It really wasn't a bad day at all. Which is a sad statement about how detached I've somehow managed to become.

Well, it's started already- a bunch of the games aren't sold out this year, and assuming the Browns post say a 2-14 record (I'm holding out hope they can beat either KC or the Lions) it will be even worse next year.

Yeah, I waste 3 hours every Sunday afternoon getting upset how bad my team is playing and wondering why I'm not doing something productive outside like raking leaves.
