Mr. T
Enabling ACORN's Comeback: "Congress -- and possibly Citigroup -- may be gearing up to start funding the organized crime syndicate ACORN again. The current federal funding ban expires Dec. 18. On Tuesday evening the House Appropriations Committee rejected on a party line vote of 9 to 5 an amendment offered by Rep. Tom Latham (R-Iowa) that would have blocked federal funding of the radical advocacy group. The amendment was needed because the Obama administration thumbed its nose at a provision in spending legislation that banned ACORN funding until the end of next week. In a ruling revealed late last month by the Justice Department the Obama administration invented a loophole allowing the government to continue funding the president's friends at ACORN. Through the magic of legal interpretation, the language forbidding funding the group was transformed by Acting Assistant Attorney General David J. Barron into a requirement not "to refuse payment on binding contractual obligations that predate" the original funding ban. Latham's amendment would have closed the loophole" enabling
calfoxwc
This Obamao admin has become a nightmare for Heck and the rest of their ilk. They need, more and more, SEIU and ACORN with all it's faces, to get the machinery going for damage control. This admin, from Obamao's adamant lie - that he promised multiple times to have all health care negotiations on CSPAN...and to include both Dems and Reps in those negotiations... never happed once. He's a failure, a liar, a manipulator, an empty suit, a maladjusted radical college kid turned politician who has no values. Say, no wonder Heck won't be honest about him. Mr. T
Well I dont see any Obama supporters defending Acorn here? But they sure do want them to get the money and continue on. Something is not right with that at all? Where is their integrity?
DieHardBrownsFan
Acorn should be banned permanently from any federal funding. The should be prosecuted for fraud and thoroughly investigated by the Feds. (Like that will ever happen).
calfoxwc
Why? Is the politically expedient corruption so ingrained in Dem politics now, that they think they can emulate the Chicago gangsters of old... "Baby Face Reid" "Bonnie Pelosi and Clyde Obamao" Wait, Heck will say yeah but some of those reps are dishonest too" Yeah, but they don't dominate Congress and the entire Pres admin with idealogically vicious gangsters. It's the Chicago way. And it's getting very, very old very very quickly with a majority of the American people now. We should have elected the guy I posted about this morning.
