Agreed.  I think that with someone who can play like OBJ we would have a good passing attack.  We already have a good running game.  Too bad we didn't get to see Greedy Williams again this year so that we could understand if he's really any good or not.  Same holds true for Delpit.

Who is this Greedy williams guy y'all are talking about?

Clearly we need a serious upgrade on defense.   The offense was really good this year and with an off-season and training camp together, I think they will be even better on the offensive side of the ball.   I don't think we have more than 2 or 3 true starters on defense....the rest are all just guys and wouldn't be missed if they were all replaced.

And it was actually better than Kiser /Kessler / Hogan.

    Thank you, Baker, thank you.

    Z

God what a shit show those 3 were.

Whatever happened to that bozo who was in love with Hogan?   Telling us all for weeks that Hogan was the 2nd coming of Aaron Rodgers.

I believe the NFL did away with the SNF & MNF games a few years ago so no team was at a possible competitive disadvantage heading into the playoffs (short week).

It also wanted to emphasize the importance of Week 17 with playoff spots on the line. Lots of scoreboard watching.

This year may be especially crazy in week 17. A few good teams will be left out.

That is correct but they also put all the games with "meaning" at the same time so there's no advantage or a team not having to play the last weekend because of an earlier result.

Apparently NBC still holds the Sunday night window and could take a game and put it there if they choose to so keep that in mind also.   But at the very least it's likely we play in the 4pm eastern time window in week 17.

Actually SD took Eli #1 overall... so, yes, your point is valid and as I wrote earlier Brees' first three seasons were far from awe inspiring and safe to say they weren't sold on hm.

But then the damnedest thing happened... he won and help the job for two more seasons.

Correct...  i forgot that part actually.  But they clearly weren't sold on him or they wouldn't draft another QB #1 overall.   It all worked out pretty well for all of them.   Rivers has/had a great career just without the title.  Eli won a couple in NY but was pretty much ok the rest of the time and Brees has turned into one of the best ever since he got to New Orleans.

This makes me think of a question. Which other Qbs can you remember who have had as drastic a makeover as Baker that has been successful? Remember that Baker was mentioned in the same breath as Favre when he entered the league, in terms of playing style and talent. Now we are talking about him as a Montana or Brady-type Qb, and he is succeeding at it. I'm sure there are some but off the top of my head I can't think of a Qb who has weathered such a different transformation and been successful at it.

Drew Brees..    Was considered a bust in SD...they drafted Manning who turned into Rivers and let Brees walk.     With Sean Payton as his coach, Brees turned into the hall of famer we all see today but that's not how his career looked coming out of college.

With the game nearing an end and yet another D Bone title in sight, the struggle is real...

I have been picking against the Browns all year, many times knowing it's more than likely a big fat zero for me, but the Browns keep winning solely because of it

So, do I change now for that 1 point that could be the difference in my game but will undoubtedly jinx the team? Or do I sacrifice my game for the sake of the team?

Man, 2020 is a bitch for sure.

You should be picking the Browns no matter what.   :)

Mark is always super tough in Survival, and I'd like to think that somewhere he is listening to Queen's Another One Bites The Dust.

Of course Colt McNoodleArm is the one that takes me out.   Colt and his stellar 100 yard passing game.    Never liked the Seahawks anyways.

Good luck to the rest of you.

If the Sunshine and Rainbows Gang could tell the rest of us when it is appropriate to complain about the direction of the professional football organization we root for, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How about after the current HC has actually you know....coached a game or two that actually counts??     I don't understand saying a guy or a FO is shitty when they haven't even had a chance to do anything yet.

But carry on with the sky is falling and the team is shitty and they're all getting fired next offseason.    Hope y'all have something fun to do in your spare time because there's a lot of you who certainly aren't having any fun with the football team.

Who said anything about  blind support?  I certainly  said it- SHOW ME this time around.

I get the years of losing  and failed  expectations have caused plenty of  fans to take a  jaundiced  eye towards  anything  Browns.  But this time around, the acid criticism right out  of the gate without  even giving the Front Office  and  Coaches a chance  is over the top. MHO.

Regarding Stefansky being "unproven" 90%+ of all head coach hires are unproven first time around. And the failure rate of "proven" retread head coaches is spectacular,  with few exceptions.  Hue and Shure-loss for starters, and I could probably  come up with at least a dozen  others if I  bothered to think about it  for a minute.

    Exactly right.

These guys all deserve the fans support until they prove that they don't deserve it when the games are actually being played.   Just like with Freddie last year.   I loved everything he said last offseason and I really thought and hoped he would be a very good HC.   He proved he wasn't ready for the job by his performance as a HC when the games started.   Hopefully Stefanski is a guy who can make the leap from coordinator to HC and be very good at the job.   I think he can....at least until he proves that he can't.

Well join the BB mock draft then. It's a great way to speculate and become familiar with the best players available. Plus it's fun when we actually draft and we hear a collective "WTF, who the hell is that and why that high? a la Tico Taco, Corbett, etc."🤣

I've watched it for years...  I dno't know enough about college football to have a clue and I'm not committing to anything in case i forget to log in for a week or two...but thanks for the invite!  :)
