I don't disagree, but here is what confuses me. If Flacco and several other accomplished vets are willing to step in and play now.

With all dure respect to the two alphabet kids, with some proven vets sitting out with no job, why do you not tie one of them up at the beginning of the season?

Am I to understand that management really felt solid with these two kids as backups?

Surely the inference here is that these vets wouldn't accept a back up role in week 1 preseason, but in week 12 they prefer a tempoary position as starter?

    What am I missing here?

I am fine with management choosing 2 young kids and not a vet. However, abandoning these 2 choices so quickly to sign Flacco would seem to indicate that management fucked up.

This is the kind of shit that seems to be S O P with the Browns.

It is frustrating to see our team so close, but as always, not rising to the top because of shit that could've and should've been nailed down.

    Because the rooks are cheap

People will want DTR to continue to start after beating the Steelers.

My take is DTR isn’t a 2nd round pick, he’s a late round project. He actually played pretty bad against a banged up Steelers secondary.

in win now mode, I’d like to see Flacco transition to the starter. Late season division and playoff push isn’t the time to force developing a late round project QB, imo

Yeah that's my feeling on it. I'd start dtr next week so flacco can get some reps but unless he lights it up if he putting flacco in sooner rather than later. All we need is half a season of professional QB play, not spectacular play. This is no time to be leaning on a rookie

I just mean that all of those things have a similar chance of happening. 46 y/o Brady isn’t going to come to Cleveland to chase another ring. I’ll send ya one of my bottles of bourbon if I’m wrong though

Why wouldn't he? We're talking about Tom Brady, football psychopath. I'd be surprised if he wasn't sitting at the phone staring blankly at the wall waiting for it to ring.

Let’s call Peyton manning too, maybe Tim couch, and why not Dan Marino while we’re at it.

Bruh. Brady played last year. It's not like we need to sign him to a long term deal. Your comment is...kind of stupid. We're in a position to win right now. Brady is a proven winner. We need ½ a season.

I say the following having no clue about the gameday flow, the current momentum, the offensive set, the last 5 throws of PJ or anything else, so put your pitchforks down and take a Lorazepam.

I don't have a problem with Stef throwing it there (based on all of the above) and if he completes it, the game is probably over. Of course one of the worst things that could've happened did, but our league leading defense should have been able to at least force a long FG attempt (again, I have no idea of what the momentum was like).

I'm guessing if Sef would've ran the ball into an 11 man front for a 3" gain and the defense still choked it away (pitchforks down - the #1 D in the NFL should've played like it with the game on the line) then people would be criticizing him for being too conservative and not having a killer mentality.

Just my .02 about a game I did not watch.

Id agree with that with a competent quarterback. Walker isn't that but I understand the idea.

I know but that shit ain't strong enough...

What are you talking about? The worst thing you could buy in a dispensary is 1000x as potent as the crap you used to buy from some stoner in the 70s.

you know I really didnt drink much during the game but now im gonna get fucked up and watch a halloween movie

I'm not as upset as I could be. They looked like it would be a blowout and so I took a nap and when I woke up they were right back in it and the defense was dominating. I never had them winning this game but towards the end I had hoped they could pull it out. Pj walker, though,  is not the answer to anything except "name a terrible quarterback"
