I feel like Kevin did have some long developing deep pass plays dialed up. I get the feeling the coaching staff, correctly, ingrained how fast he’d have to release the ball all week and to make a quick check down decision. DTR definitely did what his coaches asked, he was just a little too quick to check down even when he had a clean pocket. Combo of conservative play calling and conscious conservative QB play, even when he had a clean pocket and options downfield. We’ll see against the broncos, they have a solid secondary and worse pass rush. Should lend itself to a bit less conservative play style

3 wins in a row, I forgot what a loser Monday feels like. There’s not a team on our schedule where we won’t be favorites, probably. Denver is scary with their secondary and a rookie that makes questionable decisions. I say we go 5-2, lose one of Denver or Houston, and then lose one nobody expects us to like the bears

Flacco will take Watson’s clipboard role since he probably won’t be on the sidelines much after the surgery. i hope DTR continues to succeed, he’s a very likable QB. Probably will be on a short leash given our season aspirations.

Denver is ridiculous, I wrote them off after they lost 70-20 and then they came out of nowhere. Will be tough on the road, but the Browns are a better team - we will need more than 13 points to get the win. DTR should have an easier time against a less intense pass rush than BAL and PIT. They may tease Flacco throughout the week to throw off the Broncos prep, but I'm sure it'll be DTR again.

Stefanski called a game that was very much to protect against turnovers. And DTR had it drilled into him to be quick at taking check downs even when he had time he was checking it down. It’s funny that the Steelers call the same game plan for Kenny Pickett, their starter and 1st round QB. Very conservative anti-turnover. That said, we won’t win many games with 13 points. Gotta get the rookie to open things up or put Flacco in to do it.

People will want DTR to continue to start after beating the Steelers. My take is DTR isn’t a 2nd round pick, he’s a late round project. He actually played pretty bad against a banged up Steelers secondary. in win now mode, I’d like to see Flacco transition to the starter. Late season division and playoff push isn’t the time to force developing a late round project QB, imo

I was so happy every time the Steelers called a pass play. I think Pickett isn’t even the best QB on their roster, but that’s not saying much. Warren was torching us and only had 9 carries, love Matt Canadas thought process

Yea, but they’re not an AFCN team. They are no Steelers or Ravens. Not a give me, but for our team it should be easy.

I feel like the opposite when I watch him, he almost threw picks because he didn’t put enough mustard on balls. Maybe it’s a decision, rather than a lack of physical ability.

It’ll be the lions guy (barring an implosion), but stefanski is close in the running.

For the Watson haters, this is probably a 3 score game with Watson behind center. DTR just wouldn’t challenge the secondary all game even when it was open.

Anyone calling for stefanski to be fired should be evaluated for head trauma. I hope DTR matures quickly, but the lack of throwing downfield when the Steelers were pressing hard for multiple drives in a row is questionable. Lost confidence after his first go, misreading the defense, who knows. I think Denver is a better confidence booster for the young QB, but they will be bringing in Flacco probably who may be our guy the rest of the way for the playoff push.
