Championship game Sunday, 40+ degrees in January NE Ohio, the first game kicks off at 3 pm and were going to grill porterhouse steaks baby! Probably with baked Yukon Gold potatoes with butter and sour cream, vegetable side dish a game time decision, beer naturally for me.

We're also going to grill Saturday and Monday with a selection of sausages and other red meat available. NO PIZZA THIS WEEK!

SO who wins, who cares I'm hoping JAX vs PHI in the super bowl but the very first opening odds had MIN vs NE...... we'll see.

Great weather for sure. I think I am going to fire up my smoker and do 6 racks of BBQ ribs!

You just take the ingredients of stuffed peppers and make soup... Two big bottles of Spicy V8, two green peppers, one small onion, 2lbs of hamburg, one cup of rice.

    Super easy, pretty damn good.

(That being said, I just saw a food show that featured Italian beef sandwiches from Chicago, which reminded me of mjp and my convo on this thread, which I need to try sometime)

I do this and occasionally swap the pepper out for cabbage and voila cabbage roll soup.

After reviewing all these recipes and cooking tips I feel like I have eavesdropped on a women's bridge party (not that there is anything wrong with that). This is what the Browns have reduced their fan base to. Oprah anyone?:D

Lets take it right down Rachel Ray alley HAHA, So I got this nifty device for Christmas called a Sous Vide Immersion stick. I made chicken breast yesterday that was so moist its hard to believe it was chicken. Tomorrow I am using it to do 8 lbs. of herb crusted prime rib to EXACTLY 138 degrees. Using the sous vide and then reverse searing to give it a nice crust. MMMMM

ah man i used to think so also until Christmas day someone brought some roasted brussels with bacon over and man they were tasty

I cook Brussels sprouts in a pan with bacon, when tender I add balsamic vinegar and sugar and reduce. . The results is a sweet bacony delight. Seriously people devour it and are amazed they love Brussel sprouts.

  5. For away games I either fire up the Big Green Egg or electric smoker. For the smoker it's gonna be pulled pork with vinegar finishing sauce and homemade BBQ on the side, slaw and buns. If not pulled pork I'll smoke some ribs with a Memphis rub.    With the egg this year I've done half lb sirloin burgers with aged white cheddar, thick pepper bacon and grilled onion on buttered toasted brioche. Last game I cranked it up to about 550F and did Tandoori chicken skewers and some marinated thighs for shawarma.  Sheet I just made myself hungry lol.
