Play calling was terrible and predictable all year. I’m just some dummie up in the stands, and I knew what we were going to do before we did it on far too many plays this year. I can only imagine opposing DC’s knew better than me. I don’t know what happened to Stefanski but there was little creativity this year. Also, I’m curious to know how many times the empty backfield Stefanski insisted on running at random awkward times in games actually worked this year? You have one of the best run games in the league, a patchwork OL, an injured QB, average WR’s and NICHOLAS FUCKING CHUBB and you run empty backfield??? l feel like they were putting these games on Baker to see if he was “the guy”, instead of playing to the strengths of our football team.

The problem with Freddie’s clock management at the end of the first half came the drive before the final drive of the half. You get the ball with 2:52 left in the half. Don’t come out and stop the clock on an incompletion and then run on second down leaving enough time on the clock to force yourself to run third down before the warning. You allowed the other team to keep all their time outs and punted to them with nearly two minutes left on the clock. Run the ball twice with either of your pro bowl caliber backs, get to the warning, hopefully pick up the first and then start your 2 minute drill. You should always try to limit your opponent‘s number of possessions, or at least make their next possession as difficult as possible. I mean it’s not fucking rocket surgery, it’s basic football strategy.
