  1. So every time drew bres breaks a record it just happens to fall on a Monday or Sunday night.  You do realize that the nfl argued in court that they were not competitive sports but sports entertainment.  There are two or three with that classification.  Wwe and rollerball

  2. The browns can get a new coach the browns can get new players, but it’s all for not.  Nothing is going to change until the nfl is delt with.  I never wanted to believe that the nfl is rigged.  But now it’s not even a doubt.  With all the blow, bad, and down right disgusting call this and previous year that seem to get worse every year.  With a little digging you can find bit and fact that supports this.  One the nfl is designated as entertainment not as a sport like the wwe.  This gives them The legal out to fix the games.  Two, all refs are made to sign an air tight non disclosure agreement.  Why would they do this what do they have to hide.  Three when is the last time a small market team won the Super Bowl?  Indy in 07, but who had nfl royalty peyton.  Then there is the cowboys America’s team.  Well it’s well know that Rodger and the other owners hate him.  Why is the large share of bad calls go against the small market teams. The nfl is concerned with one thing money.  By fixing the games they can produce the story lines they want and feed it to the talking heads to gin up who also defend the nfl at all cost.  Do we really want to be the beagles of 10 years ago make it to the playoffs to get bounced with not chance. This evil giant needs slain. Did anyone know that a nfl lawyer was killed in a gang style assault shortly after leaving the Super Bowl last year after railing that it was a rigged predetermined game?  Or that Vegas never loses.  They might get the spread wrong or the over under, but never both. In my travels I found an article this man said he spoke to an executive at espn who told him the Super Bowl teams and outcome were already determined. Saint, Texans with the saints winning. Time will tell but from where is stand the browns have no chance.

  3. Offensive line get better at every position if possible.  On the d another edge rusher and another corner.  I would not be upset if we got our o line in free agency and traded up to get young.  With Young opposite of Garrett that’s a winning combo and makes the ravens life hell making Jackson stay in the pocket and pass which he blows at.

Unfortunately there are more than plenty of examples to demonstrate that Bakers height does work against him at times.  I've even noted it in the previous Browns v Bengals thread while piggybacking of a well respected NFL youtube analyst.      Breesy and Wilson have their own issues with height at times but adaptation, proper coaching, more intelligently designed offenses and the like have helped them to over come that deficit.

Yes coaching he has not improved

So let's first define the problem:

What, precisely, makes bad calls "more" this season than before? Precisely how is a call defined as "bad"? Who makes that determination?

What's the numerator and denominator of the metric used to track this?  It won't be "zero bad calls" - that's never a thing, because if you want a game you're going to have refs.

What's the rate of this metric you're comfortable with?

What's the variance from season to season?  it's never going to be precisely equivalent from year to year whether politicians are involved or not.

You do realize that officiating has been "egregious" the entire history of the game, right?

I think the entire goal of this thread was to demonstrate fake outrage, a lack of understanding of the game, and a lack of desire to actually change anything.

I think I can speak for a lot of people by saying it’s not the fact that the refs have made horrible calls.  It’s the fact that it is lopsided for certain teams and against others.  Simple put the shit is not spread evenly.

as much as i hate him....harbaugh......i think michigan has had enough of him because he can't beat osu.....i'd give him a shot...why not...better than having that hillbilly return for another losing season...

Despite what we think as buckeyes they are not tired of that clown.  The coach needs to be McCarthy. Stead and stern.

Baker got figured out from last year...he is too short and has to overthrow because he cant see...flash in the pan...great at commercials tho👍👍

He is not to short that’s silly He is as tall as bres and Wilson that’s not the issue.  One is the time the line gives him they have been terrible all year In pass protection and they are running a Gimmick style offense that doesn’t work.  They biggest thing with the o is not down field attack.

  8. Ok it’s time to make a coaching change.  I am very very against making a change just after one year or even two, but Fred’s has got to go.  When a coach takes over a team it is expected to be a little bumpy.  Even if it is bumpy you are supposed to see improvement.  They is no improvement.  Baker has regressed, he keeps throwing the ball high or behind causing tips and ints.  And with the d yeah there are injuries and they have held there own a little but minus Myles they are a mess.  That’s all coaching. Yes they have been screwed by the nfl to many times to count, but the fact of the matter is no improvement.  Fred’s got to go.

A little fact checking, I know that the NFL numbers have been going down in recent years -but- here's an article from Forbes on the 2018-2019 season a 5% gain over the previous year.  https://www.forbes.com/sites/jonathanberr/2019/08/25/nfl-defies-skeptics-as-its-tv-audience-continues-to-grow/#5a04b8b17394

Viewership for the National Football League probably will rise this season as outrage over player protests fades and fans respond to high-octane offenses racking up record numbers of touchdowns.

According to TV News Check, NFL viewership during the 2018-2019 season averaged 15.8 million per game on all networks, a gain of 5 percent. The NFL's broadcast partners — NBC, CBS, and Walt Disney's ESPN — each saw gains. Football advertising rates were up between 5 and 9 percent on average depending among other things on match-ups, and time of the season, according to the website.

Broadcast and cable networks are under assault from cord-cutters and streaming rivals like Netflix and Amazon. They are more dependent on the NFL than ever because of the large audiences pro football consistently delivers....... CONTINUED IN THE LINK.......

That’s wonderful but there are atleast three articals that day the other.  But forget that I know in my own town people are not watching football anymore.

  10. I think it is time that the nfl face a congressional investigation for game fixing as well as the ncaa.  The calls have never be worse or egregious.  Anyone who thinks refs are not swaying the games is obviously got their head in their ass.  It’s time to call your congressman and bitch. With all the money that is being beat on these games it needs to happen.  They have ruin the sport, and the people know it that’s why there rating are down 25% last year.

They look unbeatable. I don't think even the 49ers will beat them. It looks like Jackson took some hits last night, so that's really the only way I see that they don't win it all. If someone takes Jackson out, they come down to earth, but I have to admit, Ingram looks great. I give most of the credit to Harbaugh for finding an O.C. and building an offense tailored to Jackson.

Let’s stop the car right there.  They are beatable.  Jackson is an average qb at best there d is average at best the o- line is among the best.  How to beat them.  I’ll tell you.  First you can set in a zone and have no pressure and give Jackson 6 to 9 seconds to set back there.  Two you have to shut the run down mainly o. The edges.  So personnel comes in to this.  Run a bear front and play man.  On the other side team need to run the ball.  Mainly off tackle.  There secondary is not that good the problem is the nfl is letting there corners mug the receivers.  And there lies the problem,  the nfl is protecting to raven, as there are with the stillers and pats.  Honestly how many holding and pass interference calls did the ravens get away with last night.

As I said earlier Myles is the type of guy to hold that close to the vest because he knows the impact that could have on masons career.  He told kitchens and kitchens said mason said something to him and he could not repeat it.  Good for Garrett I believe him.

Browns' fan has to stop playing the role of the victim. It helps nothing. The man swung and hit a player in the naked head with a helmet. He could have killed him. They had to come down hard or risk having their balls sued off.  The NFL knows future suits are coming up re: CTE, etc. ANYTHING related to head trauma must be overly addressed for fear of losing future suits. It is very obvious. They have to build their case at every corner, proving the league did care about limiting CTE across the board.

First off if the rules are not going to applied equally than what the hell is the point.  And that is the point.  The browns have been at the short end every dam time.  And looking at this say well this or that could of happened is bullshit.  You have to look at the out come and mason got hit with pads.  And the fact that mason got no suspension shows the bias and just how much of a pile of shit this is.

    • Thanks 1
  14. I really can’t believe this happens three years ago and it was two preseason games and one reg, and the Cba says a player can’t be suspended for an on field infraction for the season and they did.  The nfl can’t even follow there own rules when it comes to the browns.  Yet mason gets nothing and pouncy gets two instead of three.  And our other guy gets one, for what? So the nfl is telling us that pushing down a stillers qb is only half as bad as kicking a browns player while he’s on the ground and punching him 6 times.  Ok nfl you have no bias.

  15. Ok here we go. First off anyone that knows anything about Myles knows he is about as mild tempered as you can get.  So as I have watched the fight several times he is my break down.  First Myles takes down mason.  At this point I imagine Myles had a big smile on his face and probably said something along the lines of it’s all over, or he’ll yeah.  Then cry baby tries to rip his helmet off and this is where I think he said it.    It’s like a switch and he came alive and that’s why he ripped his helmet off like he did.  And this point it’s over and then dick head come back for more.  So after the game during the presser,  kitchens eluded to this saying Myles told me what mason said and I can not repeat it.  If this is true and mason did say it that says a lot about Myles character by not just blurting it out on the field or after the game because of the damage that is caused by that to a reputation. Now me speculating Myles probably though well I know mason is not a racist and just something he said in the moment and the nfl will take this into account and all will be worked out.  Well it didn’t and of course the nfl is fucking the browns and letting the stillers off the hook.

I'm not responding to most of this, you are a beta male. There isn't a qb in the LG that would have reacted differently. Tim Tebow would have maybe taken a knee and said a prayer lol. Suspended indefinitely is all you need to know. He won't be back for the start of next season either. I expect him to get a full 16. If the helmet rotated just a little bit Rudolph would have been bleeding all over the field. Get a grip beta male.

Oh I am all male.  Your not responding to all of it because you can’t brake my argument.
