  1. Among other places from CLE's Agora Ballroom to Carnegie Hall... yes, that Caregie Hall... a highly sought after bootleg that became a mid-70s release... some of the boots were better recorded. The release is of almost intolerably poor quality. and boy Yer Album's best tracks are covers. Thirds featured Walk Away a gang original that nearly was a breakout hit for them. But it's always been Rides Again that srands out for me with its relentless drive. It wa the first LP I owned that proclaimed it was MADE TO BE PLAYED LOUD... did I ever...
  2. Loks like a heavy dose of inside zone could be in order this week.... plus some plain old 1 and 2 hole power leads... You ready Janovich?
  3. Eat my dust, homie... and thanks for the leg up... I'm back, baybee...
  4. And Mahomes... who I was thinking of as I typed the reply. Fields? I'd risk the odd extra rushing yard here and there for the confusion mixing in some man should bring... may just give him that added pause that allows him to be hit. A strip sack is the most delicious sack of all...
  5. Harbison "reverted" to IR? IR is getting very crowded.... very...
  6. Firsst.... fuck ND and the dome it rode in on... lol... the man oozed lack of confidence almost to the degree Hue oozed insincere machismo.
  7. Kiss of death vs. running QBs... Sacks are overrated as a measure of a pass rush's effectiveness. While they are nice and sexy... Pressures, Hurries and Knock-downs are what you want to see pile up... with a nod to Offensive holds as well.
  8. Well... I believe in getting caught bluffing early, but not often... Last season we were statistically much worse off when blitzing. This? I'd guess the sample size is too small at this point, but when I see other teams' DCs designing blitz combos that resemble wide ZBS with DL clearing alleys for LBs and DBs to run free to the QB and none of that from us, well.... it's disappointing. We seem to be plain vanilla in a chocolate chip, cookie dough world. I still do not share the diminished LB value view ascribed to DePo... I think that's part of the issue. Superior athletes at LB still seem to go a long way to determining the success of a D's blitz. Ours? much simpler... If MG wins his matchup we pressure, if not we don't. Now even MG is calling for help... https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2021/09/myles-garrett-calls-on-his-browns-teammates-to-step-up-and-make-the-play-when-hes-chipped-and-doubled.html Woods vs. Williams? Live fast/ die young vs. conservatively make the opponent string plays to even sniff the redzone? The former is sexier, but the latter is the sounder philosophy in general. It just runs into issues when it faces a high-powered O that can string those plays or bust one despite facing a well-disciplined 2ndary giving a lil added cushion. And if that is not KC's O, then I do not know whose it is. Moot to talk rerplacements. Joe is here for the duration.
  9. Dig that single bar "mask on Warfield... Today that field would be considered damn near unplayable... First game at ole Muni? First I remember is vs. WSH maybe around 1966??? I remember Sam Huff was with WSH, so had to have been '64 or later. The was nothing like the contrast of emerging from the dim bowels of that dingy, old beast and then seeing the sunlit field.
  10. Like many here I resemble that remark. And great hands ain't a bad thing in a WR...

Well... swelling in a brain tends to quiet one down. Hope you and everyone else rested up cause I'm back and my brain is on fire now (as any who I've talked to on the phone will attest) it's going about 600 mph in 8 different directions at once. Basic stream of consciousness stuff... pretty much how I've always been... just now on steroids (literally) although they are not the cause of my motormouth over drive. Luckily for yall typing slows me wa-a-a-a-a-ay down. Anyone know of a good speech to text download for PC? Of course there's always my new iphone... Dude... smart-ass away... laughter is keeping me going as much as anything. And I may be the only one aside from you that funds you to be funny, but I have all along. Just no more over-the-handlebars pratfalls, please.

Attaboy... remember the balls you save may be your own. Your fingertips(?) to the big Man's Eyes(?)... missing that is my only fear of the future, but if I am on the verge of a single digit stroke index (was close once before) that be the next "fear". Honestly... right now I feel more alive than I have in years... maybe since I retired... so many ideas... so many plans to get involved in my community. But also so many DR. appts. Radiation and chemo are coming soon. My stylist worked wonders around my semi shaved areas and stitches only for me to tell her that it all has to be shaved off to allow a special treatment that is a hat of magnets. Assuming the radiation and chemo rock the lil brain booger back on its heels, then the pulsing magnets confuse(?) it as it tries to regrow (or something). As my Onc told me in band-aid rip-off #2, what we are doing is buying time. Time to live, yes, but also time for some genius researcher to make a breakthru. Or as my Onc put it, "As of today my condition is incurable." Did not need Skinbracer for a week after that one. Again for you kids out there...
  13. Ar the risk of getting a Capt. OBVIOUS.... If we're behind... which we were a lot when Baker was a pup, Ds ignore the run and PA... a/k/a Baker's game strength plus he still tends to press. I don't see this being the case in his opener's INT... the Defender simply got to his heel(s) just as he threw... Baker is elusive enough to slide in the pocket, but he's not fast enough to outrun LBs or speed DEs in the open field. Beats a letter to Berea two weeks after the fact... Feels like progress to me.
  14. Felton has looked good on returns (at least I had that much right about him... the rest of my draft time take? not so much). In fact I owe at least one someone around here an apology for clinging to his Pro day times, which were unremarkable. While I still do not see fast, his feet are quick. Was never more apparent than in the above mentioned TD run. Still not sure how he kept them away from a defender or two trying to trip him up from behind. But yeah... on the whole he can't contribute on kick returns what he can in a spot play here and there on Offense... but when JoJo gives one up, then he's done, and I'm sending in Hunt for kick returns.
  15. Wrong forum for that sentiment, my friend... Hear you about your D, tho... scary good if healthy. But I do not want to see Fitz anywhere near your sideline unless your D, scary or otherwise, chases him there.
  16. Is it just me or has dusty gotten a lot cuter? Must be that mountain air... REALLY NEEDS TO SHAVE THAT FOREHEAD THO... Note to self... set up the new digital antenna to eliminate the DTV Local Channel time lag.
  17. Then check out the "Upper DP" in the new place. Not really the Pound, but the seat cheaper prices (more money for beer?), reduced security and an ample supply of visiting team fans seem liberating... as in folk, a/k/a idiots, seem to lose their senses.
  18. Keep it close thru 3 qrts, while pounding the opponent's D to set up a control and score 4th.
  19. Scrappy bunch especially with TT at QB. But for his hammie, Sunday could have ended very differently.
  20. Not sure there was a "pretty head" in the mix, but I catch your drift... ... great song.... For you youngenz out there... from long before Joe was an Eagle...
  21. Does now is still "on paper", but he's the guy most responsible for seeing thar paper translate to tthe field, so yeah.... there with you now. Maybe OHIO teams are not supposed to have good DCs? I did find the Delpit blitz encouragingish....
