Two things which I thought. Baker sure looked better with OBJ not in the lineup. It will be interesting to see how Baker does the next few games (or longer) if OBJ's injury is serious like they think it is,

Second, I thought Joe Woods called a horrible game. It was obvious that Cinci had the Browns' number in regards to how much we were blitzing, but Joe never altered his strategy. If you are facing a rookie Qb it seems that there are two ways to face him- either bring the blitz or disguise the back 7's alignment. I didn't see us disguising our coverage much at all. We kept blitzing and we kept getting burnt by it.

I'm not sure you realize what we have to work with.  Like Nero said, we only have Ward and Garrett on the D.  Perhaps a few others and a few 2nd year players that will improve.  But right now, our D sucks.  Doesn't matter who's coaching.

Well, I certainly didn't forget.  He was, after all what? a second or third round pick?   At that, I fully expected him to come in and contribute.   I expect him to contribute quite a bit going forward.

The ball was thrown right to Redwine.  What else can you do but catch it?  I don't believe he's much better than Sendejo.  Our defensive backfield just stinks.  On another note, why do we continually draft players out of the SEC?  They either get hurt or can't play.  I know they're great in college, but it doesn't translate to the NFL.  We need to look for players from the PAC 12, Big 10, or ACC.  And I mean that.  They're more durable.

  3. As much as I love my Browns, I think we played the 4 easiest games of the season.  At first I though the Steelers played their easiest games as well until we played them.  As it appears, their games were much tougher than ours.  I'm really worried for the rest of our schedule.  I realistically see about 2-3 more game that we can win for certain.  A couple that can be tossups.  If we do make the playoffs this year, we will be a very early exit (which I don't see).  This is not a reflection on Kevin Stefanski because our D can't stop anyone.  But he need to show he can handle teams like Pittsburg and Baltimore.  Even with our D, perhaps he can mix things up a bit.  I don't expect to win the games, but at least make it somewhat close.

Hello, McFly, is anybody home?    Washington may want fuck all to do with OBJ...if you think he is what he is here...maybe they have the same opinon.......and they are salivating at having  Young on their team.  I know that Planet Earth has its faults, but come back to Earth regardless.

I don’t think it’s about OBJ, it’s more about picks in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  OBJ is just icing on the cake.

Why, though, would   Washington give up on the chance to get Young?

Yes, but think about what they'd be getting though.  #10, #41, #74 and Odell Beckum Jr.  I think that's more than enticing. And you would have to think we'd sign Trent to a 4 year deal.  If it doesn't work out, but probably release him.  Happens a lot in the NFL these days.   I don't think this will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

I think you have been drinking too much milk of the poppy.

Break it down more this way, into 2 parts or 2 separate trades:

    A.   You give up a 27 year old  WR  for a 32 year old tackle.    (NOT a good value for us IMO)

    B. Then you trade  #10,  #41 and #74  for #2

The trade value charts do no support this.....but in opposite ways:

    JJ Chart:   #2...2600   for 1300 + 490 + 220= 2010    Here, not a good deal for Wash.

    The preferred Harvard Chart:  #2 435.7  for  299.1 + 160.8 + 118.4   = 578.3  .....a shit deal for us.

So, as I see it, you are screwing us...in terms of the numbers.

Yeah, I considered that.  Not in as much detail though.  But if you have Garret and Young on the edge, man.   And Trent and Conklin playing tackles, Baker would be set.  Throwing to Landry, Hooper, Njoku and perhaps we resign Higgins.  Not to mention Chubb and Hunt at RB.  We Stephanski loves to run the football.  It just seems to have a winner written all over it.

I have the half cave.  My wife is a huge Giants fan and unfortunately her memorabilia is flashier-  it happens I guess when you have four Super Bowl victories.

my wife understands I don’t have a second favorite team so I don’t care about the Giants and I don’t force the Browns on her in return.  Yeah I have to stare at some memorabilia but it’s not a terrible thing.

It could have been worse right before I met my wife I dated a girl who 2nd or 3rd date mentioned casually that she was a Steeler fan.  I think I finished my drink and was out in 10 minutes and ghosted her.

I draw the line with the Steelers.  I have a few friends that are Steeler fans but I would definitely not get involved closely with one

Unfortunately, my wife is a Steeler fan.  So we watch TV in other rooms.  On very rare occasions, we watch if the Browns are playing the Steelers; but we know the usual outcome.  I'm thinking it might be changing starting this season.  Sorry for hopping off point of the original question.

I mean no disrespect Dawg just angry at this crap

Understood, I get it too.  But we have tiotmany injuries on this team.  And Garret being gone doesn’t help.  Kitchens getting rid of Deveraugh Lawrence, not playing Enjuko, Higgins, the team is a mess.  Kitchens has to go.  Period!!  Also, no team comradery.

I actually wonder if the squealers set up Garrett to be suspended. Garrett didn't tackle him and hurt him, so

sissy mason had to go after Garrett. I do wonder what sissy mason said to Garrett - Kitchens didn't say...

and Ogunjobi got a one game suspension. I can't believe sissy mason didn't get a one or two game.

What the ? Ogunjobi pushed him down. One game. Sissy Mason tried to break Garrett's neck by ripping off his helmet, kicked Garrett in the groin about twice, and went after Garrett a SECOND TIME, and the pic clearly shows sissy mason's hand on Garrett's jaw, while Garrett was being RESTRAINED. again. the biggest coward in the whole melee was sissy mason.

Didn't know this - missed it somehow -

    https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/browns-sign-de-bryan-cox

the backups listed in the depth chart:

    Myles Garrett Chad Thomas
    LDT Larry Ogunjobi

    Devaroe Lawrence

    RDE Olivier Vernon Chris Smith

Chad Thomas and Chris Smith - I hope they play great, get sacks, and don't get hurt. I hope Cox is ready to roll pretty soon.

Yep, Garrett should have dropped the helmet. But I think "indefinate" is bogus - only that because it was a squealer sissy qb.

Sounds good if Vernon is healthy.  We could be without him another game or 2.

I'm now officially on the fire Freddie wagon.

I think Freddie can be a good coach someday.  But not now with all the weapons we have.  And I don’t want to hear anyone complain about Beckham or any other player.  He just doesn’t have players in the right positions.  He can’t draw up schemes to confuse defenses.  Other coaches continue to take advantage of him.

Why in the name of fuck did Freddie go for it on 4th and FOUR?  Three points and the LEAD are staring you right in the face - and the Bills get the ball after the half.  Does this guy spend all week smoking crack?  Why is he obsessed with NOT taking points that are gimmes for longshots against really really good goal line defenses?  WTF?

He has idea what he’s doing

the refs totally suck...not saying they gave this game to denver, but i watched alot of the pne o clock games and man,,,,i told my wife i'm putting in my resume to be and nfl ref....why not...i could not be any worse.....jeeeeez..

sure you can blame the refs for the facemask call, but they can't be blamed for the loss.  Our offence screwed up this one, play calling sucked badly.
