6 picks in the bottom two rounds.  Not much to get excited about there.  I'm thinking that some of those picks will be traded away before next April.

well thats kinda what Barry does

That was an interesting article.  It mentions the consideration/idea of using Jamal Adams exclusively as a LBer since that was the situational role he did best moving into the box as an extra LBer.  However, it also talked about his inability to stay healthy.  It makes sense because asking a 6-1 player only weighing 213 pounds to make a living playing LBer in the box is going to challenge the durability of a guy that has trouble staying healthy.  All that said, he's really good against the run and it doesn't sound like he'll be expensive to sign.  My guess is Schwartz would like this idea.

keep throwing more bodies in the lb room. I see no reason not to.

  6. Michigan Unsettled at QB

    3 OF 6

    Alex Orji

Gone is J.J. McCarthy, a top-10 selection in the 2024 NFL draft. He leaves a massive void under center in Ann Arbor.

The main competitors to replace him are Alex Orji, Jack Tuttle and Davis Warren. Orji played scattered snaps as a running threat last season, while Tuttle attempted 17 passes in a backup role. Warren, who's been on campus since 2021, tossed five passes as a deep reserve.

And the spring—unsurprisingly—did not answer the question.

In the scrimmage, Orji completed 11 of 17 throws for 95 yards and added a 17-yard touchdown scamper in the spring game. Warren finished 6-of-9 for 136 yards and two scores. Tuttle, a seventh-year player, did not participate this spring due to an undisclosed injury.

Third-year quarterback Jayden Denegal and freshman Jadyn Davis are part of the competition, too.

Perhaps new coach Sherrone Moore and his staff are growing comfortable with one of them anyway, but it's worth watching if Michigan dips into the portal sometime this summer.

  7. Where doe's Bo go to High School ?

Getting closer and closer to sealing the deal

In-state running back Bo Jackson has been a theme as of late and Thursday was no different. The No. 72 player nationally and fifth best player at his position per the 247Sports Composite grades, it’s as clear as ever that Jackson is one of the two running backs that the Ohio State coaching staff is completely sold on and now it’s just a matter of sealing the deal and making him a part of this class.

On Thursday, Jackson announced that he is down to just three schools. Narrowing it to just Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State, the Buckeyes have a great chance here, but know that they still have plenty of work to be done before they earn his commitment.

Set to visit Georgia on May 17, Jackson will spend his second trip at Ohio State from May 31-June 2, and Alabama from June 7-9. No, the Buckeyes don’t have the luxury of having the last scheduled visit, but being just a short trek from Cleveland, Bo can see the Buckeyes any time he wants and very well could make a return trip if needed.

As of now, Jackson and Locklyn are talking every other day according to Jackson and that should only continue, if it doesn’t soon turn into an everyday occurrence. Again, Ohio State isn’t out of the woods as the two other schools certainly aren’t just there for show, but you have to feel like the Buckeyes are going to be able to keep him home if they continue doing all the right things and make sure that he knows that he is a priority in this class.
