I can’t argue with a whole lot of what is posted here.
I understand they are talking to Ward now, but I think his asking price if it is Top 3 Corner type money - I don’t know if that is a given as he’s managed to play in only 75% of the games each of his first three years. But I’ll still say very likely.
I actually flip your OBJ / Jarvis scenario. Slot WRs usually age better. Stef raves about his football intelligence too.
Another question for this thread- does anyone get Franchise Tagged this coming offseason?
it will be interesting how berry handles these situations. Franchise baker? cousins 2.0 situation ? draft another QB next year as Insurance?

over the next year or so there are alot of players that the browns could move on from. there simply isnt enough money to go around. who do you think the browns keep and who will they let go.
players in question
Mayfield - they will sign him just a matter of how much $$
Ward- i think they should try and sign him but if he gets too expensive is it worth it ?
Ronnie harrison- the browns have so many young safety's i think he is gone after this year
Wyatt Teller- Gone for sure he will be very expensive and with 3 backup starting caliber guards on the roster just plug another one in
Hooper- i would prefer they move on he is expensive and Njoku is better with higher upside.
Njoku- i think they get a new deal for TE1 moving forward
Jarvis/ OBJ -- you will only be able to keep one OBJ's contract is better and its hard to say how much jarvis will want to be re-upped

BTW, Patrick Mahomes had a 6.3 rating with NFL.Com. Josh Allen had a 6.4.

Guess what grade they gave Baker Mayfield?

why does that matter?

If you look at the numbers baker deserves more. He's better in every category including rushing yards which blew my mind
Baker is protected far more than josh allen. Allen had 0 running game baker has a better OL , TE , and RB ,WR are a tie.
Could baker carry the team like josh allen did i dont think so. The problem with baker everything has to be right for it to work he isn't overcoming anything. if you have to pay him 250-300 Mil. He is going to have to overcome some personnel issues moving forward. can he ? idk

As I recall, Parkey wasn't bad last year. I liked him better than that Siebert guy we drafted. But there's room for improvement. I don't think they're very confident in him on the long FGs.
Parkey isnt bad as far as his FG and XP % he is right in he middle 15th or so on the NFL last year. Maybe he can improve and get in the top 10

OBJ next 3 years is 15.75 / 15 / 15
Landry next 2 years is 14.7 / 16.6
"Cap Hit" entry is the one to look at. If you see a different number than these.... someone's looking at the wrong column.
well i think its still cheap for OBJ i think berry will be hard pressed to let him go.

Landry is the heart and soul of the group arguably the team and I take his football IQ + ability over OBJs total package.
Landry provides a different skill set from DPJ. DPJs emergence allows us to probably part ways with Higgins in 22 and possibly let’s us feel comfortable losing one of OBJ or Landry when their contracts are actually due without being rash needing to sign a high priced vet
I like Landry overall as well . i just dont think that we can keep both next year especially with having to pay Baker possibly teller as well.
i dont know how long they will be able to pay 28 mil per year between OBJ and Landry i think one of them has to go. I guess it depends on what landry will want as a new contract it might be too expensive , Cooks is getting 16 mil per year and Golladay got 18 mil per year last year. i would think landry will want at least that.
so OBJ is looking damn cheap for the next 3 years at 13 mil ... no way berry lets that value go.

Schwartz is a burner it is what the browns needed they didn't need another 4.5 40 possession receiver. he wouldn't play and he wouldn't help the offense.
did you guys watch the KC game ? the browns receivers were getting squeezed they weren't scared to get beat deep and they squeezed the field so it was hard to run and hard to throw into the short and intermediate levels .
hopefully Schwartz and OBJ can help this year if teams try and do that again.

DPJ is going to push Landry out the door if he doesn't restructure. after this year the browns are going to have to get rid of one receiver.
looking at the contracts of OBJ and Landry and OBJ is on a team friendly deal this year and the next two is salary is 13.75 Mil per year good for 20th highest paid receiver.
that is a sick value for someone of OBJ's caliber. i guess if i had to choose obj would be the one i would keep depending on how he looks this year

matts best dip ever
fry up some ground sausage in a pan and drain one package i usually use bob evans. mix in one can of rotel and one package of cream cheese it will blow your mind and its simple.
1 package ground sausage
1 can rotel
1 package cream cheese
-
another note the ravens open with Miami and Arizona so they are probably starting 2-0.
-
the ravens are going to be in the mix. they are going to be in alot of close games and due to the style they play a tough team to beat as long as jackson is healthy. if he is slowed for any reason ankle or knee issues they will be easy to defend.
the whole season rests on lamar's health.
-
i think dorsey is banking on "Finding" him a place on the line. it appears to be at center and with dorsey's ego i hope he doesnt let JC.tretter walk in free agency and replace him with corbett.
If i had to bet tho i think that is going to happen.

im not exactly sure but it sure doesnt look recent. The jobi in the presser video is easily going on 20lbs smaller than tgat. I mean jobi was never a massive 2 gapper...he was around 290+ Now he looks in the 270's, maybe less i dunno...id have to see his legs. But for sure those shoulders, neck, chest...all def smaller now
your out of your mind here is an article from last year he was 300 lbs at 12% body fat. thats only 30 lbs of fat as a 300 lb man. he isnt getting much lower than 12% . hes 290-300 lbs. he would have to be at like 3% body fat to be in the 270s

to run that scheme effectively dont u need ur interior DL to be more ofvthe lsrger 2 gap variety? Like a shelton or meder type? If u run with one smaller DT than at least the other one ought to be well north of 300lbs. Otherwise OL are gonna be all over those two LB'ers regularly.
not sure about that i do know the browns have been running it alot in camp so far with larry o and Richardson as the DT. in big nickle i guess the browns would run more in running situations.
it would be schobert, kirko and morgan Burnett lined up in the box, whitehead and randall with 2 corners

doesn't that depend on what offense they are facing? they would not run the 4-2-5 against some offenses, I think.
no not really wilks ran 4-2-5 on 84% of snaps last year with the cardinals. this was most out of any D coordinator.

-
no the LB's are not the golden key for the D. the base D for wilks this year is going to be a 4-2-5 so the key is going to be the DB's they will have to cover well and the most important part of the 2019 browns will be the DB's ability to help in run support.
if they dont do a good job in run support the browns will struggle against the run ....... see the 2018 cardinals run D and shield your eyes/
-
not worried if he is anywhere around 300 thats fine. there is also a video of him on youtube of him squatting 725 lbs. he holds most of his weight on his lower body anyways.
you dont want a fat DT anyways nothing to worry about here especially with larry o he works hard on and off the field.
