  1. When you look at last year and you look at Rogers and Wilson and other top QBs the conclusion that Deva wide receivers are not worth the money begs to be considered. Rogers and Wilson and our regressing QB last year can or could get the ball to anyone. That is the issue. We have lots of talent in the receiver position and they all stink, drop balls, can't catch if it is an inch behind them. Just makes you wonder. Kitchens is a problem, Baker is a problem and the Devas are a problem. Build from the lines out.
  2. Plenty of great coaches can't get a job. Take Rick Barry. He knows BBall inside out and no one ever gave him a job. Some people just rub other people, especially those with money, the wrong way. Baker is wasting energy going after some pundit on TV. Look what Rogers did with an undrafted Lazard after Shepard tried to give the game away. Both are undrafted free agents. Spending money on prima dona wide receivers is dumb. Also the Browns fantasy about Kitchens being wanted by other teams is just that. Baker likes him because he talks like a good 'Ol boy from the South. But everyone down there talks like that. They say nothing of importance with a slow cadence. Kitchens is bathroom material. Face it. Time to either get rid of the wide receiver devas or trade Baker for Cam Newton.
  3. My Dad talked about how the refs called a penalty on the 1950 Browns over and over as Otto repeatedly threw TDs. The Eagles were NFL royalty and the Browns were from the merger. The fact that they won the other league every year caused the nfl to believe the league was inferior not that the Browns were superior. Look at the Packer game, same thing.
  4. But the browns passed on so much talent. They have had high picks for many years. I liked the guy from Clemson. Composed and athletic.
  5. Everyone thinks their team is screwed by the refs, from the Sharon Tigers to the Dallas Cowboys. Listen to Skip Bayless after the Cowboys loose, a team that gets every conceivable break but he rails about every game. Walsh said to the Montana 9ers that bad calls are just another thing to overcome. Thats all. Kitchen's challenge was idiotic and that can be fixed. He should never have been hired. Emotional overreactions don't win the game.
  6. I posted it. I said Ginger Baker Mayfield may be drinking. You only need 2 beers a day to be impaired and gain weight. Larry Bird had all the Celts give up beer to win his first title. I hope I'm wrong and he just stinks because of the coaching, bad O-line and weight gain. Time will tell.
  7. Duke Johnson flips the ball into the air for an interception or does he catch it?
  8. So many receivers now put their hands under the ball to catch it like their trying to catch a bowling ball or a heavy weight. Don't real coaches always say catch with your fingers, not palms? Plus they where gloves. Lots of balls now pop in the air and make for easy interceptions. Just like the one the ended the game today. If you catch with on the fingers with one hand above and one below the ball is not going to pop up like a balloon so a D guy can grab it.
  9. They looked like the 1950 Browns against the Eagles against us. In this game Rams and 9rs are both good. Scale is balanced. Maybe that is a better term? Against the Browns game was over before you blinked.
  10. Interesting that SF looks average against the Rams.
  11. But their coach, QB, staff and preparation are somewhat better than ours.
  12. When walsh got a unfavorable calls, he just said to the team that is another thing we have to overcome. Simple. no tantrums.
  13. Freddie max's out at coaching some team in Alabama that is not a major college. He speaks in platitudes and acts like he doesn't see the flow of the game. R. Wilson runs in the 4th quarter to win the games. Happens all the time. You have to stop him from running. Plus all these penalties? Fish rots from the head down. Cleaning out the coaches after last year's impressive close was incomprehensible. Another year with the Browns. Does anyone know if Baker has a drinking problem? Overweight, slow reflexes, worse than last year.
  14. Sherman doesn't give a fat rats ass about the game. He was building his brand by lying about the handshake. he got 300 million dollars worth of air time and now says "why all the fuss about a hand shake?"
  15. Hey Terry, when are you going to address the elephant? Last year the coaching staff meshed. They were all fired. Maybe upper management has a screw loose. Kitchens is the mystery man. The rest of the league can't figure out why the Browns hired him and Cleveland writers acted like he was a hot commodity that would jump at the chance to replace Bellichek? How about an explanation for this odd judgement?
  16. BlinD Faith was one of the 1st super groups and most def. one of the best of the era of the great bands. Had To Cry Today for Ginger but not Ginger Baker Mayfield.
  17. SF really came to play, Freddy came to strut. Ginger Baker looks like he is drinking, slow fat. He took a drumming from Bosa who was looking for his 1st big game, key error was not focusing on oline. Ginger is too sow like and no Lamar or Wilson with his feet. The GM over estimated his getaway. I fear that the curse of Johnny FB is upon the Browns.
  18. Mayfield looks like a different QB this year. No confidence, no nothin. Some day the Browns will build from the lines out not the nut jobs in.
  19. Interesting observation. That was the Raiders idea while Al Davis was alive and it got to a point where that did not work anymore but Al didn't care. So the lost.
  20. I live in the Bay Area and no one thought the Browns could beat the 9ers. People here find the Kitchens situation incomprehensible. They had a good management team at the end of last year and fired everyone. Dorsey makes some good moves but guts the O line. Baker is not a running QB who could survive the rush. This is Bosa's first worthy game. If you notice how fast the SF QB gets rid of the ball...does not hold it. Long way to go for the Browns. Liked the coaches at the end of last year better than these guys. Personal opinion based on what i have learned listening to Lou the Toe and Jim Brown battle the Giants on the radio until now. Best to all.
  21. Here is some lunch meat. Kitchens was not and is not head coach material, the draw play? I believe he thought the play was ruled "off setting penalties" as the D Pass Int. was so obvious. Not realizing this he did not challenge and went for a draw on what he thought was 3rd down. The three Baker plays at the end were miserable, fear in his eyes, give it to Chubb twice, pass and Chubb a third time from the five. Time to call Mike McCarthy. He has experience and command. This team has no discipline. And the owner needs to reign in the GM. Trading an O line stud for a questionable defensive lineman is dumb.
  22. Play calling of Kitchens VS Rams Play calling, 49ers and Chiefs. No comparison. Freddie Kitchens was a poor choice. Denuding the offensive line for a pass rusher that no one wanted was a bad choice. Here we go again. Mayfield had the Deer in Headlights look of the last 20 Browns QBs. He could not find anyone open on a scramble? WTF? Is he drinking too much? The defense was great under the circumstance. But in the pinch LA could hit on a cross route blindfolded. Freddie era is coming to an end. Joe Thomas era next?
