↑↑↑ it's billionaires fighting billionaires. The deal is "local" stations are rarely independent anymore.  They're owned by big outfits like Tegna or Nexstar.  So for the subscription services like Directv, Dish, and others to have the right to carry that channel on their service- they have to pay  a royalty fee to the station's owner to carry the local signal.  And the negotiations of what exactly that royalty fee is worth have gotten progressively uglier and more contentious of late. Of course, you the consumer pay the increased freight when they eventually settle. 

We had a similar issue Dayton way last year with Direct feuding with Nexstar, we lost CBS on satellite for over a week. As I mentioned to Steve- there is a solution assuming you don't live way out in the boondocks. The stations direct over the air signal is always available, so get thee to Amazon and buy an amplified indoor antenna ($20-30 bucks) problem solved. 

This problem of these greedy aceholes has effected Dish for years! We lost Sports Time Ohio in August of 2019 so no Indians games or Browns insider stuff! We also lost Fox 8

3 weeks ago. same people TEGNA! Going to buy the antenna for that, but Dish says NO progress on the STO front....When the contract is up BYE!!!

Exactly! I kept telling the wife the defense needs to get us off the field! They never did!!! The offense struggled with weather, drops and fumbles! Didn't help the zebras took away our TD, but gave them theirs. 

My wife and I met at a Mid-Ohio-Mopars Christmas Party! I had a 1967 Plymouth Satellite with a pro built stroked 440! We are still to this day Mopar or NO car! My sons as well!!

Shove it.   He is a rookie, and in another thread the Ben-gals were given the 31st rank OL per PFF.  More of a recipe for disaster than success...or even mediocrity.

Shove it.   It is a lame move.  It is just a continued indication of a dysfunctional operation.  They have been under the gun for years about changing their name.....and they easily could have/should have been prepared with alternative, acceptable nicknames. 

5. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will compete for the NFC championship

Love it.  They are a talented team. Brady will be a bit of glue to hold them together. Not saying they are SB bound...but the have the chance to compete. 

6. Tyreke Hill says the Chiefs will win 5 titles before he and  Patrick Mahomes are done.

Shove it.  They can certainly be in contention....and could win another one or two titles.  But I am NOT prepared at this point to declare them a dynasty. Could be Seahawk like....expected to win several titles....but seemed to fall short after one. 

7.  The Kraken......Seattle hockey team name.

Shove it, I guess.  I suppose it could grow on me,  but overall I don't like singular named teams:  The Heat. LIghtning, Magic. etc.  

8. The Indians will challenge for the World Series this year.

Love it,  both the concept and the potential.......Tribe can contend.

9. Neither the Yankees nor Dodgers will play in the World Series this year.

Love the concept....but shove the reality.  Those are the best teams money can buy...and that may pay off in such a shortened season. 

10. Myles Garrett will compete for Defensive Player of the Year

Love it.  He will be on a mission.....and he will convert a lot of unbelievers. 

11. The Browns offense will be nigh on unstoppable with the weapons they have and their new scheme under Stefanski

Love it.  Quality talent  2 deep at each skill position.  Just have to have the right stage director.  I am optimistic that Stank is the guy. 

12. The Browns linebackers and their rush defense will be the teams major weakness this year.

I love it because, unfortunately, the statement is correct.  I would like them to force me to shove this where the sun don't shine...but I am not hopeful.

Absoruckinfutly NO """VACCINE""" for me!!!! I have never had a flu shot or pneumonia shot EVER! I truly believe you build up anti bodies by living life. By being exposed to things little by little and your body fighting them off. Thereby building up ones immune system!

I am requesting Prayers for our eldest Daughter, who found out Friday that she has stage 1 bladder cancer. The good news is that it is very treatable with a good prognosis as they caught it very early.
