  1. That was exactly the idea when they wrote the amendment. But that was a long time ago, before we sold our Birthright for a saucer of cold porridge. WSS
  2. Freedom shouldn't hinge on whether somebody needs something or not. Nobody needs a firearm of any kind at least not very many people. Just making that point the rest of them you guys can fight out by yourselves.
  3. 2024 Oscar compilation. Remember never bet anything you can’t afford to lose! Best supporting actress The favorite is Da Vine Joy Randolph and while I enjoyed THE HOLDOVERS she did nothing that anyone couldn't have done; she's not really an actress, just fat and African American. My preference would be Danielle Brooks for THE COLOR PURPLE which is among this seasons inexplicable snubs. Best supporting actor The favorite is Robert Downey junior for OPPENHEIMER and I’m good with that decision. I could also live with Mark Ruffalo for POOR THINGS or Robert De Niro for KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, his best role in years. Best actress The favorite is Emma Stone for POOR THINGS and I agree wholeheartedly. Best actor The favorite is Cillian Murphy from OPPENHEIMER but if it were up to me the winner would be Bradley Cooper for MAESTRO. Best director Again Christopher Nolan, OPPEMHEIMER, is the odds on favorite but especially since I thought it was long and boring I would much prefer Martin Scorsese for KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON one of the best movies and biggest directing challenges in many years. Often best director is more of a consolation prize for someone who did a great job but another film just turned into a juggernaut. Meaning that favorite Nolan might get edged out. We shall see that a few days. Best picture First of all I don’t think any foreign film should be listed as a nominee for best picture Regardless of how woke or inclusive the members of the Academy fancy themselves to be. There’s already a category for best foreign film and that should be good enough. Aside from that I don’t think anybody can truly appreciate something with subtitles. At least the three foreign pictures nominated this year art anywhere near the top 10 betting favorites: ANATOMY OF A FALL, PAST LIVES and THE ZONE OF INTEREST Are all in the bottom 5. Unfortunately two films I thought were Oscar worthy round out the bottom 5 MAESTRO, an impressively unique Leonard Bernstein biopic and AMERICAN FICTION an entertaining and thoughtful film about the hypocrisy and stupidity of the woke Hollywood crowd. In the 4th and 5th position (not likely to win the gold) are THE HOLDOVERS, one of my personal favorites of the season and KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, which in my opinion is the best film of the year hands down. The top three in ascending order of likelihood of success: 3 BARBIE, not only misguidedly woke but a completely unfunny and poorly crafted piece of crap, 2 POOR THINGS , A very long and particularly unpleasant film but with a brilliant payoff at the end so I could actually live with it winning, and the odds on favorite for months and I don’t see much change in the buzz, 1 OPPENHEIMER Which I found to be way too long and bloated with unnecessary detail. And they are off. See you at Sardi’s WSs
  4. Yes I know some of you guys love him when he talks shit about Trump. Now he's talking shit about your boy. https://www.aol.com/lindsey-graham-biden-screwed-world-135059426.html
  5. Great. More deadbeats for the United States to pick up the tab for their fucking defense. WSS
  6. Omar looks pretty good if she would just lose the turban. WSS
  7. Sounds about right. I wonder how many of the guys here are with the 13%? And that 13% aren't voting Democrat anyway. WSS
  8. Probably and more probably a good idea just to soft peddle it. I don't think anybody is for 0 tolerance pro-life. And as for support for Israel he's already not going to win BLM votes so go ahead and alienate the Hamas supporters. WSS Could be. Then again then again every election cycle we get a raft of campaign promises and halfway through the term wonder why they didn't happen when President X or president why didn't do them all while they had the Senate and the house and the justice department in their pocket. WSS
  9. Well I could probably live with most of the stuff on agenda 47. I guess it depends on how paraphrased the synopsis was. I don't think most of it is going to be easy to do realistically had a couple I disagree with. I'm fine with electric vehicle research. I would have also like to see stronger support for israel. WSS
  10. Sure, she's okay. I don't think she's as pretty as Lauren Boebert, Kristie Noem, AOC, Laura Ingraham or Sarah Palin. (All graded on an age/politician curve of course) Frankly I think Barbara Boxer was hot a few decades ago.
  11. Well I understand she's a female and that doesn't particularly turn the woodpecker on. He's more of a mayor Pete kind of guy. WSS But she is probably in the top three or four percent of senators that you would actually consider.
  12. Yes as quick as a bunny Biden responded by doing a shout out for coach Riley. Nice work cult leader Biden. WSS
  13. I watched a little bit of it, nonsense. Don't know how long Adderall lasts in the system but probably should have made the speech a little shorter. The responses bullshit too. But that's all speeches are. WSS
  14. Yes, we know. The Woodpecker is just flailing because he has nothing else. WSS
  15. And later when the full all encompassing definition was posted it underscored my point that just about everything in the fucking world could be called a cult if people feel like using it as a pejorative. And there's really nothing more to it. I'm also sure that you know that full well you just like to bicker. WSS
  16. Once more I'm going to ask has anyone actually listen to or read the description of this event? This is not innocent people standing in line waiting to be served at a food truck. This was a full out riot the rescue workers were being attacked and there was a good chance that they were going to get killed as the crowd over ran destroyed and looted the trucks. Not Israeli military, rescue workers trying to help. Again no one on either side is happy that this happened. It's just being mischaracterized by some of the people here. And by the way that description isn't from a right-wing news organization. WSS
  17. Diversity is bullshit. Thank you, carry on. WSS
  18. Absolutely you are rambling but regardless of any full definition of the word cult it's meaningless. It can be applied to anything and anyone thereby removing any connotation of right wrong or indifferent. And that's regardless of your being compelled to bond with assholes like cccp. WSS
  19. Which is one reason it's dangerous to allow government to indulge people's insanity. Probably rarely a good idea to legitimize Munchausen by proxy. WSS
  20. Oh fuck off Woody with the grown-ups talk about this.
  21. I've always thought that the Russian interference gag was bullshit. As I see it the most Insidious election interference comes from the liberal media the major newspapers most of the news outlets Etc especially now that Fox News has been castrated by Rupert Murdoch's two sons Uday and Cusay. I assume there are dozens if not hundreds of organizations that support candidates for all sorts of reasons. I bet Ukraine is among the worst. But mostly by meaning is, for instance, liberals despise Donald trump. I get it. So they would vote for somebody like Liz Cheney who opposes them on probably eight out of 10 issues. That's just stupid. I don't know if despite their distaste for Israel the Dearborn Muslims are conservative or liberal. But they're probably not going to get a candidate that's strictly anti-jew. But they are free to hope for one I guess.
  22. Well that's not exactly what I said but it is kind of close. But withholding your support from a candidate who otherwise supports just about every other one of your issues because you can't back anyone who approves of any kind of support for Israel, yeah that's kind of anti-Semitic. Should be obvious enough for a guy like you who spend so much time screeching about racism. If you're going to gripe about the words screeching then pick your own synonym. If someone said that they couldn't vote for anyone who showed any kind of support for BLM would you consider them racist? I don't expect it honest answer from you but I suspect so. WSS
  23. I did look it up is there a problem with it? Also, for the record, none of you gentlemen have heard me make disparaging remarks about Muslims as far as I can remember. WSS
