The Gipper
So much for this quiz. Zombo got 11 out of 12 correct. (I assume he didn't "cheat" and google.....that would not be in his caracter). The quiz now, for the rest of you is to guess which one Zombo got wrong! The Gipper
#2 believe it or noy is our beloved Paul Brown OK, right. So I guess that concludes this trivia. For the answers, just see Zombo's post with exception of #2. PB is #12 on the win list. I do believe his total includes AAFC days, but I am not 100% positive. Just a few notes on these: Brady is 20th in career TDs Favre is 14th in passer rating Franco Harris is 13th in rushing Jim Brown is NOT in the top 20 in career combined net yds. Unitas is 18th in completions Deion Sanders is not in the top 20 in Ints. Josh Cribbs is 11th in KO return avg. Largent is 20th in receptions Barry Sanders is 15th in TDs scored Bob Hayes is 19th in punt return avg. Lance Alworth is not in the top 20 in receiving yard. The Gipper
Another note on this topic: Dave Brown, whom many of you may not have heard of was a safety who played most of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. He attended Akron Garfield HS, and Michigan. He was drafted originally by the Steelers, But was either cut or traded and ended up playing 11 years for Seattle and another couple for Green Bay. He died young of a liver problem or cancer. He was one of those unknown great DBs that got little attention because he played for a team that didn't win that much. But he is in the top 10 in career Ints.
