BrownIndian
Southpark, Simpsons and Family guy ... not only are they all animations but all these serials have mocked different gods in a few of their episodes. Im not theist or religious , but the idea of mocking something that a large group of people consider reverend seems pointless. It hurts the sentiments of the other person instead of making them laugh and the fact that they make fun of different religion does not mean that they are fair and balanced. Why do they do that ? VaporTrail
This might better be discussed in the Politics board. Seems kinda serious for BST. They bring up mostly valid criticisms of religion. I think that they had a lot of balls to do what they did the last two episodes, too bad that Islam can't get over the point that no one has the right to not be offended, when they get off killing a Dutch artist that made a depiction of Muhammad. Matt and Trey received a bunch of death threats when they released last weeks episode, and Comedy Central and NBC, like a bunch of f*cking cowards censored the hell out of this week's episode, all cases of the word Muhammad being spoken were bleeped out, and they never showed him. You shouldn't be allowed to bully people into respecting your beliefs with death threats. The f*cking terrorists won this one because the people at Comedy Central were too afraid to stand up for freedom of speech and instead cowered in fear before the threat of death. Pussies. Last week's episode was brilliant because they addressed this issue. In one scene, the kids go to the super best friends and Jesus tells Stan that they can't mock Muhammad because he's a religious figure. Then, Buddha, at the same table snorts a line of coke right in front of the kids, followed by Stan saying "Aw, Jesus f*cking Christ" right in front of Jesus. Their goal is to offend everyone, I'd say they're doing a good job not leaving anyone out, and I, personally, find the show hilarious.

Westside Steve
I didn't see the episode. I saw one a good while ago but it seemed they pussed out a bit then. (Did CC edit this one?) But We don't lighten up on Islam outta respect. We do it because too many of them are fu*king nuts. WSS
VaporTrail
Comedy Central edited it because they were afraid of the backlash. They didn't even allow the word "muhammad" to be said. It's such a crock of shit, and we can't be backing down on one of the freedoms that this country was founded on because some schizo extremists threaten us with violence. Your right to not be offended CANNOT impinge on everyone else's right to free speech.

The host was listing all the offensive names, including spick kike wetback etc but of course said, "the N word." Cripes. And CC is a bunch of pussies.
