ATENEARS
BALTIMORE RAVENS GM Ozzie Newsome traded the No. 25 pick for Denver's picks in the second, third and fourth rounds, the latter two being recouped picks he traded for Anquan Boldin. Then he used his two picks in the second round on highly-rated defensive players who should contribute in roles as rookies -- Texas hybrid rusher Sergio Kindle and behemoth Alabama tackle Terrence Cody. If one of the next two picks starts as rookies -- tight ends Ed Dickson of Oregon and Dennis Pitta of Brigham Young -- he will round out an emerging offense that now includes veteran receiver Boldin. One glaring omission was the failure to tap into this cornerback-rich draft. Their defense is incomplete without better cornerbacks. Grade: B-minus. jrb12711
as much i hate to admit it they did have a really solid draft. The only thing I would of done differently is gone after a CB prospect in the third instead of the two TE's, but then again you don't draft a position like that back to back if you don't see serious potential in both of them. The Gipper
Kindle and Cody are two guys I really would have like to have seen the Browns grab. I really thought they might when their turn in the second round came up.
