Israeli Flotilla: Don’t Take Mainstream Media Coverage at Face Value

The media, as usual, seems to be reporting only one side of the Israeli Flotilla incident. Don’t trust the mainstream media to give you both sides of a story fairly… you must seek out fair reporting to ensure you have all the information.

As far too many in the media, and in various governments, rush to condemn Israel, we must put the recent events off Israel’s coast into the right perspective. This “relief” convoy was not about humanitarian aid, as the liberal mainstream media keeps reporting. The whole operation was designed to provoke Israel, not to provide supplies to Palestinians held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Anyone who sees the video of Israeli commandos being attacked as they land on that ship knows the people aboard were vicious thugs, not “peace activists.” The media insults our intelligence with their outright mischaracterization of who these enemies are.

Israel delivers thousands of tons of humanitarian supplies every week to Gaza. These ships could have offloaded their cargoes at a nearby Israeli port if they really wanted to help the people of Gaza. Instead, they chose to incite confrontation and violence. Israel has a right to prevent arms shipments to Gaza that will be used to target innocent Israelis, so they were legitimately checking the cargo on the flotilla. Turkey has chosen to condemn Israel but we should be asking some serious questions about Turkey’s role in this whole affair. Why is a fellow member of NATO sponsoring such a dangerous publicity stunt? As one expert points out: “Three ships of that six-ship pro-terror convoy flew Turkish flags and were crowded with Turkish citizens. The Ankara government – led by Islamists these days – sponsored the ‘aid’ operation in a move to position itself as the new champion of the Palestinians. And Turkish decision-makers knew Israel would have to react – and were waiting to exploit the inevitable clash. The provocation was as cynical as it was carefully orchestrated.”

We can only hope the Obama Administration does not join the anti-Israel chorus in the aftermath of this staged confrontation. Please, Mr. President, we need to let Israelis know we stand with them in their fight against terrorists and those who arm and support them. America and her ally, Israel, stand by waiting for your response.

Israel is nearly alone - the lackluster support for Israel from the Obamao regime is

initiating aggression against them. They will not wait til

another pres comes in and will kick butt to defend Israel.

Truth is, the "United Nations" will take those supplies, search them for weapons etc, and deliver

them to the Palestinian people. The major supporter of the ship that had been boarded, was an org

that fully supports Hamas' violence against Israel.

The Israeli commandos - were under orders to not fire, just search, unless fired upon.

They were attacked, and fired upon.

Those ships could have easily let themselves be searched, by Israel and or the UN to assure Israel

there were no weapons/ammo/missiles/etc on board.

They deliberately intimidated Israel by not doing so, and they did what they did, to CREATE

a confrontation for propaganda purposes, I suppose, as a precursor to another assualt on Israel.

I figure like our blockade of Cuba back in the 60's, the Israeli's had every right to stop Hamas from re-arming, and adding

more troops, due to the dire threat from Hamas and Iran. This run around the UN searches, etc, is an open

signal that Israel had to take action themselves.

After all, there ARE major transport jets that can deliver supplies, right?

To get those supplies to the "Palestinian people" right?

But those would be subject to searches in the Airports, right?

If the worthless Obamao regime makes one more wrong move here, in lack of support for Israel, it will

signal a green light to those armies who want nothing better than to defeat Israel, once and for all,

while a leftist gov tries to establish itself permanently in our country, referring to several factors, primarily

eventually giving amnesty to millions and millions of totally-dependent-on-the-U.S.Gov illegal immigrants who will vote Dem

for their own survival.

It it's simplistic but ardent efforts based on their college radical training via Alinski and Marx, etc...

this pres and his regime are going to completely run this ship into an iceberg if we don't get them back out of our gov.

Gotta let some news roll by for a bit. I really have no idea what to say about this yet, but Ireland and the Brits are not happy about it. I've read reports that Obama called for Israel to head the investigation and vetoed a Turkish inquiry in the UN. If either of those are true, I think it's messed up. However, I've also read reports that those are false. So why don't we just hurry up and wait?

Well, those Israeli soldiers who boarded the ship? They were attacked with various weapons, including guns,

stun grenades, knives, and clubs.

The Israeli's found a simplistic arms cache on board that ship.

Libs will whine "what about the poor, hungry Palestinian people?"

That's ignorant. Truth is, it's all about breaking the blockade, so Hamas

can receive more missiles, and major arms and equipment to launch a war vs Israel,

and the justification, to them, is a creation of a conflict, that they can make explode, all so gleefully,

for political purposes.

Meanwhile, a Turkish airline pilot had his Israeli co-pilot removed from the alirline they were on. He told the Israeli

that he "killed children".

I suppose he doesn't think that all Arabs in the world kill children....

Anti-Semitism, of a Nazi kind, is exploding on cue, from the non-existent leadership of Obamao, and his

pro-Muslim favoritism.

Hamas couldn't care less to starve the Palestinians as long as they can blame it on

the Israeli's stopping the flotilla.

  • Trucks of flotilla aid halted stopped at Gaza crossing
  • Clothing, medical material, blankets on trucks
  • Material will be accepted by activists after all detainees freed
Jerusalem (CNN) -- Israel has attempted to deliver humanitarian aid from an international flotilla to Gaza, but Hamas -- which controls the territory -- has refused to accept the cargo, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

Palestinian sources confirmed that trucks that arrived from Israel at the Rafah terminal at the Israel-Gaza border were barred from delivering the aid.

Ra'ed Fatooh, in charge of the crossings, and Jamal Khudari, head of a committee against the Gaza blockade, said Israel must release all flotilla detainees and that it will be accepted in the territory only by the Free Gaza Movement people who organized the flotilla.

Israel said it had 20 trucks of aid found on the ships, such as expired medications, clothing, blankets, some medical equipment and toys.

Israel has released all foreign flotilla detainees by Wednesday, but four Israeli Arabs remain in custody.

Nine people died Monday when Israel intercepted an aid vessel bound for Gaza.

Under Israeli policy, humanitarian aid must come through Israel and be checked by Israeli authorities who are looking to intercept smuggled weapons bound for militants aiming to attack Israel.

As part of this policy Israel forbids ships from dropping off goods at Gaza ports and works to thwart smuggling via tunnels between Gaza and Egypt.

Cal, there are conflicting reports as to what exactly happened when the ship was boarded. I've read many more articles saying that there were no weapons, and the Israelis opened fire unprovoked. Seeing as no real video evidence has surfaced, I'm not going to believe anything that either of the interested parties have to say.

Not sure why we worry about israel so much. They have made plenty of mistakes in the past.....let them work it out on their own. They're becoming that guy that calls every Saturday night for bail money.

Furthermore, if the corporations that run this country want to help them it will get done. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan can't /couldn't do anything without their permission anyways. If they tried to go against them they would end up like Kennedy.

The Israeli's released a video - saw it on Fox News

It VERY CLEARLY SHOWS a guy throwing a stun grenade into the Israeli's boat when they were about to simply board,

and another guy has a long chain try to hit them to keep them from boarding.

I forget the name of the ship, but Israel intercepted it and it was a big arms shipment to Gaza/Hamas... from Iran.

Those reports were obviously a lie, Vapor. I'll check Fox online to see if I can find that video.

Heck won't bother to post it - that would be an honest thing to do...

#1 IDF initial approach to boarding Mavi Marmara via boat, filmed by passengers aboard Mavi Marmara. Passengers attacking IDF and throw plates, stun grenades and brandishing steel rods and chains.

#2 Side-shot of IDF boarding Mavi Marmara from helicopters. IDF seen being beaten with rods, soldiers beaten with metal pole and chair, an apparently unconscious soldier is thrown over the side to the boat.

#3 Overhead shot from helicopters of Mavi Marmara deck. Passengers beating IDF boarders, stun grenades thrown, firebomb thrown at soldiers.

Given the above evidence of brutality and the following facts:

1) That Aid has been reaching Gaza every single day by legitimate means

2) that Egypt also was a partner in the embargo to Gaza.

3) That 5 other ships in this "Aid flotilla" managed to be boarded without significant incident.

Can you possibly defend the actions of these terrorist-passengers aboard the Mavi Marmara ?

It's time for Israel to grow up and be a big boy, they need to stop relying on their daddy (US) to protect them and support them. Are they a sovereign nation, or not? No more allowance or looking after them.

I understand that, but France and Norway and Poland, etc etc etc etc, were all sovereign nations too, during

WWII.

Allowing smaller friendly nations to be overwhelmed by bigger or multinational parties, just lets the whole world to go hell

in a handbasket.

Besides, Israel didn't need our help the last time they went to war. The next time, ... how many nations can they fight,

without eventual help from us?

We should have sat back and let the Nazis take all of Europe? Let Israel be overwhelmed just because it's

easier on us to say they are a nation, all alone?

If we do that across the board, the whole world will end up a very, very tragic and dangerous place, and that world

is getting to be smaller all the time.
