Milid got #2, Sammy Bau(g)h, #6 Carney, #8 Vick, and #10 Night Train Lane. You got the schools right for Nixon a Duke Law grad, and Garfield who attended Hiram before transferring to Williams. You also got Harding right, but Ohio Central College is no longer in existance but has been merged into Muskingam...which is not a member of the NCAC. (I believe it is an Ohio Conference school)

Here is some trivia on who holds certain records, plus a little Presidential bonus:

Apparently you all are ready for the answers:

1. Who is the only active player in the Top 20 in career interceptions?

Darren Sharper is the only active player in the Top 20

2. What player has the highest punting average in a season?

Sammy Baugh[/color]

3. What is the record for the highest number of passes intercepted from a QB in a game. Extra double bonus points if you could tell who the QB was. (I had never heard of him)

Eight is the number by a guy named John Hardy

4. Who holds the record for the most receiving yards in a season by a TE?

Kellen Winslow Sr.

5. Who is the career sack leader?

Bruce Smith is the answer. Strahan I believe is second.

6. Who is the oldest active player in the NFL, any position?

Its not Jackie Gleason, its John Carney, assuming he still has a job. Otherwise it would be Jeff Feagles

7. Who scored the most TDs in season?

LaDanian Tomlinson scored 31 one year.

8. Who holds the record for most rushing yards by a QB in a game?

Michael Vick, 173 yards

9. Who are the only active coaches among the Top 20 in career wins?

Mike Shanahan and Bill Belichick

10. Who holds the record for most inteceptions in a season?

Dick Night Train Lane. When he was a rookie.

11. Which Presidents of the USA had namesakes (first and last name) play in the NFL (1920-present.

There have been 2 John Adams: an OT with the Redskins from 1945-1949 and a TE with the Bears and Rams from 1959-1963. (Of course, don't forget the John Adams who was the drummer at all the Indians games for so many years)

There was an Andrew Jackson who was a RB with the Oilers for 1 year in 1987. He scored 1 TD.

There was an Andy Johnson a RB with the Pats from 1974-1982. Plus there have been 2 Andre Johnsons.

William McKinley was a DE with the Bills in 1971

James Carter was a LB with the Packers from 1970-1978

Jimmie Carter was a CB with the Rams in 1987. He played all of one game.

And that is all. There have been 52 players named Washington play in the NFL over the years, but not a single one of them named George.

By the way, there was a Gerald Ford who was offered a contract to play in the NFL by two teams, the Packers and the Lions...however that Gerald Ford turned down those offers to pursue law school. That Gerald Ford was THE Gerald Ford who later became US President.

12. Name which US Presidents attended college at any school in the following conferences (give prez and school):

Big Ten: Gerald Ford attended Michigan, the only Prez to attend a Big Ten School.

Pac 10: Herbert Hoover graduated from Stanford. John Kennedy also attended Stanford Business school but withdrew.

Big 12: Not a single President attended a Big 12 school

SEC: Not a single President attended an SEC school

ACC: John Polk attended North Carolina. Woodrow Wilson got a graduate degree from Virginia. Richard Nixon got his law degree from Duke. Jimmy Carter attended Georgia Tech for a while but withdrew.

Big East: Bill Clinton attended Georgetown. LBJ attended some grad school also at Georgetown. William Howard Taft got his law degree from the Univ. of Cincinnati

MAC: Benjamin Harrison attended Miami, Ohio

North Coast Athletic Conference: James Garfield attended Hiram before transferring (he late became the University President there). Rutherford B. Hayes attended Kenyon College. William McKinley attended Allegheny College in Meadville Pa. before withdrawing.

The only other notable college situation dealing with the Presidents is that we could have the Army-Navy game represented by pitting Eisenhower and Grant (Army) against Jimmy Carter (Navy)
