USFBrown
Cleveland Browns QB Seneca Wallace has high ankle sprain -- source Published: Monday, October 11, 2010, 1:53 PM Updated: Monday, October 11, 2010, 2:35 PM http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/...neca_wal_2.html CLEVELAND -- Browns quarterback Seneca Wallace has a high ankle sprain, said a league source. It's the same injury that sidelined Jake Delhomme for three full games. When Delhomme relieved Wallace Sunday against Atlanta, he was hobbled throughout the second half and ultimately suffered another sprain to his lower ankle. 5Share 22 Comments Wallace will not be ruled out for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, however. The source said Wallace will embark on an aggressive rehabilitation program this week in an effort to play. Wallace suffered the injury to his right ankle on the next-to-last play of the first half when Atlanta defensive end John Abraham sacked Wallace and fell on his ankle. The injuries to Wallace and Delhomme mean the Browns will have to sign a quarterback this week, even if they elect to start rookie Colt McCoy in Pittsburgh. If they sign former Brown Brett Ratliff off the New England practice squad, Ratliff would be guaranteed a minimum of three weeks on the Browns' roster, per NFL rules.
