Thomaspro
In a radio interview with ESPN Chicago yesterday Holmgren spoke about hiring Shurmer and said a lot was based on the fact they have a bright young QB of the future in Colt McCoy. And that was one of many reasons why he hried Shurmer. he also said he spoke with Gruden and Cowher. But never said what was the outcomes of the conversation. Were they offered the job at all? Harry Buffalo
It doesn't matter. We know Colt is going to get his shot to be the QB next year and if he doesn't pan out then we are going to go after another young QB in the draft next year so Holmgren just wants a guy that he knows can develop and work well with a QB. Nw220
Good he at least deserves a chance to start a full season, no more QB controvesery's
SJ_Browns
i look foward to the day that "qb controversy" is shot dead in cleveland. it's more of the thing to say as opposed to what's really going on (no thanks to some people in the cleveland media and some fans who keep it alive). DawgEatSteel
the worst part about it (or the best part) is that colt will have an extra year with no football to develop
