YtownBrownsBacker
Bill Cowher says he is interested in talking to is the Jets. Parcel wants to talk to new owner about extending contract buy out through next season. K.C. will interview Savage along with Rex Ryan and Kevin Gilbright. Lions have asked permission to interview; Spagnola, McDaniel and Garrett and has gotten the OK from each team. Browns and Lions both get permission to talk to Pioli. Lerner setting up interviews with McDaniel, Mangini Spagnola, Schwartz and Garrett + a Rooney Rule Candidate. Lerner wants GM to pick coach and he only has Pioli scheduled. Shit is starting to move quick.

dencyguy
The Steelers guys were right: He didn't wanna coach against the Rooney family. Sounds about right. The idea that he "used" the Browns to get the Jets interested is beyond stupid; he doesn't have to use anyone to get the Jets to want him. Mr. T
but to get your name floating around the media over the Browns job is using the Browns. and the Steelers Fans were stating that Cowher is not interested in coaching in 2009. So why was he letting his meeting with Mr. Lerner known?
Guest mz.
BUT Cowher didn't put his name out there, T. It was us and the media talking about it, not him. The only time he actually said something about it was to decline the gig.
Mr. T
That is true mz the pussy but at that level you or your agent can still pull some strings to keep the topic in the air. Regardless the fact, he states he is not coming here and is loyal to the Steelers and that is fine by me. Because i think he is useless to us. So why was he letting his meeting with Mr. Lerner known? You get the dumb post of the decade award. The Browns are total shit dude, nobody anywhere but here and Ohio thinks the Browns are anything more than shit on shoe bottoms. People have been speculating about Cowher for 2 years now. He is MORE popular than the Cleveland Browns entire legacy. What he DID do is embarass Lerner and Cleveland. Can you just hear him now? Laughing his ass off at Cleveland. YtownBrownsBacker
Sounds about right. The idea that he "used" the Browns to get the Jets interested is beyond stupid; he doesn't have to use anyone to get the Jets to want him. Dennis Grossi reported that Cowher contacted Lerner in New York and asked to meet. He told Lerner that he wasn't interested in coming back into coaching this year and that Lerner should move on. this is what Lerner told the group of media guys that he assembled to talk to about the changes being made. Lerner said Savage called him Sat. morning and they had words and he fired Savage Sat. morning. He also said that he met with Cowher Saturday night. Word from the New York media says that Cowher has stated that he would sit down with the Jets and talk.
