I'm pretty sure squash but not sure on the college. 2. The Cavaliers this year set the NBA record for the longest losing streak. Whose record did they beat? Their own over two seasons. 3. The 71-72 Lakers hold the NBA record for the longest winning streak at 33. What team has the second longest streak and how many games? Houston won like 22 a couple years ago. 4. Which current NFL team has the longest unbeaten streak in its history? New England 5. Who was the last team to enter the NCAA Final Four with an undefeated record? (note: this team lost in the Final Four) I would of said St. Johns with Jameer Nelson and Delonte West but they must not have made it that far. 6. (Hint: it was at the Division III college level) The Kenyon College Men's Swimming team had won 31 consecutive National Championships at the D-III level. (there are close to 800 D-III schools). They lost the championship this past year by one point.....to their closest rival, Denison U. 2. The Cavaliers this year set the NBA record for the longest losing streak. Whose record did they beat? Yes, the Cavs beat the losing streak of....the Cleveland Cavaliers who in the 1981-1982-1982-1983 seasons lost 24 straight. 3. The 71-72 Lakers hold the NBA record for the longest winning streak at 33. What team has the second longest streak and how many games? Houston Rockets won 22 in a row in the 2007-2008 season. (but hell, I am not even sure they made the playoffs that year) 4. Which current NFL team has the longest unbeaten streak in its history? That would be your Cleveland Browns who had a 29 game unbeaten streak...which included 2 ties. On October 12, 1947 they lost a game to the LA Dons. They did not lose again until October 9, 1949 when they lost to the 49ers. Note this: In the Patriots and the Colts recent winning streaks, they each played several OT games that they won. Had games that were tied at the end of regulation ended in a tie as they did up until the mid 70s, those win streaks would have been truncated with ties as well. In the NFL, the longest unbeaten streak was a 25 game unbeaten streak by the Canton Bulldogs. The Pats do hold the longest overall including playoff winning streak with 21 (with OT wins). The Colts won the most consecutive regular season games at 23, but lost in the playoffs in the interim. 5. Who was the last team to enter the NCAA Final Four with an undefeated record? (note: this team lost in the Final Four) The 1991 UNLV team who lost to Duke in the semifinals. 6. What is the longest winning streak in MLB history, and who holds it? The 1916 New York Giants won 26 in a row. Still the record. 7. What country in what sport had what amounted to a 132 year winning streak? That would be the United States of American who held Yachting's "America's Cup" from 1851 to 1983. (they won so much the Cup was named after them). They successfully defended the Cup on 24 occasions (the competition, like the Olympics is only held like every 4-5 years). Who you ask currently holds the America's Cup? Why, America (USA). They are soon to contest it again out in the San Francisco area. I remember at one time when the America's Cup was the premiere event shown on ESPN, before they got football, baseball, and basketball broadcasting rights. 8. What team in the Big Four major pro sports holds the record for winning the most consecutive division titles? The Atlanta Braves with 14 consecutive division titles from 1991-2005. 9. Who has the longest winning streak in college football (at any level)? The Mount Union Purple Raiders won 55 consecutive games. (Division 1 is Oklahoma with 47). 10. Who has the longest losing streak in college football (at any level)? Prairie View A&M lost 80 straight games at one time. 11. A division III college basketball program holds the record for 310 consecutive losses. What school? (Hint: this school is regularly rated in the Top 10 or 20 nationally in academics) Cal Tech. All those brains but no one could figure out how to put the hole through the donut. 12. Who holds the NFL record for most consecutive losses? The Tampa Bay Yuccaneers with 26 straight losses.
