Bob806
I have us at 10-5-1.....we will be 3-1 at Bye week. Von Miller intercepts Schaub & returns it 57 yds for a TD in Reliant Stadium, securing a 31-31 tie vs the Texans, our first tie since 1989. I want to be optimistic as hell, but the facts are the end of the year is brutal. Who the hell decided that playing the Ratbirds & Steelers in a 4 day span was a good idea? And they thought players had head injuries from football? Has ANY team ever had to do that? Oh well, if you want to contend, you have to win your division games. Zombo Wait for the Steeler trolls to go all Hufflepuff over that prediction! nice harry potter reference. hey, optimism is fine. realism is better though, and i think the reality of the situation is that its gonna take another year to even see any positives shumur can bring to the team because of this lockout. if the lockout ends soon then i'd say you guys could do 7-9, but only IF it ends VERY soon. Well, if it wasn't a Harry Potter reference it could have been a Ralph Kramden referenc: Homina homina homina. Whatever they say it would be some unintelligible, gutteral exclamation. DawgPound4Life
I was stoked as hell to see this schedule! You have to take into consideration that 9 of the 11 losses we had last year were less than 10 points with an extremely tough schedule. There isn't a whole lot to fix. If we can run a successful West Coast and make a smooth transition to 4-3, I don't see any reason we can't get in the playoffs. Baltimore is the only team I see as a threat in the division. Shittsburgh's defense is too old and their corner's are garbage, last year was their last playoff run for at least 5-6 years. *crossing fingers*

I just find it too hard with all of the variables. new coach New O Does the lock-out impact our ability to practice?? If things go well, we can win 9-10 games. If things go poorly.....then it is 2-5 games. I will say this....the Opener against Cincy will tell much. If we lose that game, it's going to be a long season. We follow that game with Indy on the road...a tough game to win. If we start 0-2, with a tough end of season schedule that might pile on 2-3 losses minimum, we're done. We need to win 7 of the first 11 games...and it starts with Cincy.
