The mental health screening I absolutely agree with, then again, millions of Americans are diagnosed with depression (a mental illness) that might be too big a number to outright deny gun ownership. The problem with these regulations is that it just makes it a pain in the ass to get a legal gun. In the US, however, guns are ubiquitous, and it wouldn't be hard for someone who's mentally ill to acquire one. If some hunter in inconvenienced by waiting I really don't care. I don't know what the exact rules and restrictions would be. Nor do I care to try to act like I know. Get your CC permit and the gun dealers love you because they dont have to call you into the FBI or the local Sheriffs Dept. to grant permission. I signed for the purchase, I'm fine with my name going to be screened by the FBI. The dealer was surprised at how quickly I was approved. He said it often took several minutes. I reckon my outstanding service in SAC is still on record.... That screening is no inconvenience. A waiting period? No. the waiting could go from 3 days to two weeks, to three months to two years. Come on, it's just another way for anti gunners to get some kind of progress toward their end. Besides, I think a Sasquatch is living sometimes out in our bog. so do all the kids who were at a neighbors' kids' birthday party. Well, that time, after dark, my Wife was driving the tractor on the hayride, and when she stopped and they were all quiet and listening, I was out in the woods doing my famous Sasquatch howl out across the bog, with a long black tube from his leafblower..... But after all their screaming from the haywagon and laughing... they left. And in the dark, in the quiet.... I heard something walking in the water in the bog.
