SiperBowl
Why do we always go after the second best player in the draft? If we are going to make a trade and move up why dont we go after the best player and spend it on getting Luck? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1m22VTAcBQ
Kosar_For_President
If we are going to make a trade and move up why dont we go after the best player and spend it on getting Luck? Oh brother, where do I start with this one.
Nw220
Im sure we would if he was even on the market, its almost a sure thing he goes to Indy with the first pick dosent look like they are even considering moving the pick...
Mark O
Because it would cost our entire draft this year and probably next years 1st round pick to move up to the first slot? Is Luck worth all of that? I'd say no he's not..
Tour2ma
Today no one knows what it would cost. We will know for sure in one week whether the Colts are willing to consider offers. As for worth... more than the considerable package being floated around here for RG.

Right- the Colts might start getting interested if we offered them both #1s this year, the #2, next year's #1 & #2, and Joe Thomas.
The Gipper
The primary reason is that in point of fact the Colts are in desperate need of a new QB, so why would they pass on the opportunity to take what is considered the best QB prospect since John Elway or Payton Manning. (Do you notice how these "greatest QB prospects in a generation seem to be the son of a high level college coach...like Elway, or the son of an NFL QB, like the Mannings or Luck. Maybe Otto Graham has a grandson)

Not since Jim Brown have we secured the best player in the draft. The Colts are releasing Manning this week and they hold the #1 pick ... you are aware of these circumstances, right?: Here's what happened: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d8272d94b/Sir-Purr-40-yard-dash?continuous=true Zombo
