The biggest reason is the natural cycle and the rise and fall of superpowers.

We were not the manufacturing capitol of the world until the world wars knocked the shit out of germany and england.

And even then we didn't rise to the top by paying semi and under skilled workers great wages.

Our first big challenge was when the defeated japanese rose from the ashes.

now with modern technology you can build perfectly fine goods in china, mexico , korea you name it.

We have incrementally raised the benefits for everyone here in the us, and that's probably not sustainable. Our debt to china allows them to buy all the oil they want and our shrinking dollar jacks up the price.

We still borrow and spend money like there were no tomorrow.

I think both parties understand we need a drastic cut back on spending and debt, but neither will win an election on that platform.

It's the 3 4 pitch for the u s and china is on deck.

I assume there will be a handful of mini crashes like we just experienced.

Hopefully we can last 20 or so more years before the big 1.

His document goes far beyond what has ever been done before.
