Should giving sums like this be against the law? Is this good for our democracy? Should some people have "limitless" financial influence on the campaign, or be able to donate millions, while most people simply don't have that type of influence?

Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate who donated $21 million to a super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich and followed up this week with $10 million to a pro–Mitt Romney super PAC, will apparently donate “whatever it takes” to defeat President Obama, a source told Forbes. The owner of the Las Vegas Sands casino will reportedly make “limitless” donations to get Romney elected, the source said—which certainly is in line with Adelson’s recent comments that he could donate as much as $100 million to Romney’s campaign. To make a comparison, the $10 million Adelson just donated to the Romney campaign is equivalent to an American family with a net worth of $100,000 donating $40.

Here we go again. Odd, Heck - you never once complained about all this when Obamao was rolling in the millions and millions and millions

and outspent the MccAin/Palin ticket like crazy.

It's only when the shoe is on the other foot, that you all of a sudden feign indignation at mega sums being donated to super pacs.

It's baloney, these super pacs.

But if that's the game, and Obamao loses this time....

you don't have a leg to stand on.

You LIKED Obamao getting giant sums last time.

You DON'T LIKE all that money going to the Republicans instead.

so, you simply change your stance on the issue.

Emotionalism. I called it, and you libly....(libly ROF,L).... do it time and time again.

Oh I thought you meant you were actually buying a house. Cuz yeah, some of them are really nice and I'm sure they're all a lot of money.

Lol, I know it's not rare. We probably saw and or heard you at one point. I'll haven't remember. We weren't part of the drunk mobs though. We just visited cuz we were camping at East Harbor park over the weekend

You gotta realize that it can be an issue though. If all the richest people all agree with one side, and they throw all of their money at them, then you have elections being decided by the minority. Sure, they still need the votes, but people are stupid and political ads and air time can do wonders.

This election is so polarizing that I really have a hard time believing that anyone is truly on the fence about who they're going to vote for. I'll give you my opinion. Obama wins, relatively easily, no matter how much money Romney raises. Mitt is just not that likeable.

My opinion - Mitt is getting the money because Obamao's been found out to be a non-leader, a non-problem solver, a non-bringer-together president,

and a corrupt and whiny dirtbag with corrupt sumbeeches all over his admin, and scandals. And he's a pathological liar. And divisive.

The only way Obamao wins, is if he gives illegals the vote, and is successful in getting Holder to enforce... voter fraud, like they are doing in Florida now.

He flat out wins on the popular vote because no one actually likes Mitt Romney.

nope. even the black vote is going downhill for obamao.

They may not like Romney, but they now HATE and do NOT TRUST Obamao the Great Liar and Divider.

We'll see, won't we?

Unless Obamao has his new black panthers create a national crisis, or tries to use the UN arms control pact to

override our Constitution and take our guns and a 2nd Revolutionary War for freedom and our CONSTITUTION occurs...

so Obamao can cancel the election.

But no, he'll lose. Or, we all lose our country .

Yep, Cal has his finger on the pulse of the black community, lol.

So either Obama loses, or America ceases to exist as we know it. Wow, those are pretty big stakes. Almost as if some political movement through a series of ads, tv networks and websites has completely scared the shit out of impressionable people that don't like change. That, or he really does want to become our dictator.

I like mitt romney.

He seems like a decent man.

He does not seem particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but I don't think that makes him a bad man.

If I were to use words like slimy or loathsome (from Heck's posts) I would more likely think of the president.

Ok ill concede some people may like him, but not enough to win the popular election. It's just not there. I also don't hate him, but I sure don't like him. I don't look at him and think "this is my guy". Not even a little bit. He's not exactly lighting the world on fire as a candidate. I'm pretty sure he's going to get nixoned, when the debates start happening. Maybe not. If not ill eat these words, perhaps, but I don't think so.
