His full Name is:
Willard Mitt Romney
He was Born:
March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.
His Father:
George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan
He was raised
in Bloomfield Hills , Michigan
He is Married
to Ann Romney since 1969; they five children.
Education:
B.A. from Brigham Young University, J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University
Religion:
Mormon - The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints
Working Background:
After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary. After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney.
In 1984,
he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States . In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy. He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where
he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.
Some Interesting Facts about Romney:
Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in
Massachusetts,
turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people. Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others. He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year. He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years. He was an unpaid bishop and stake president of his church for ten years. He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years. He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.
He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.
Mitt Romney is
one of the wealthiest self-made men in our
country
but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money,
service and time than most men.
And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost
19% of his income....
Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1%
and
Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.
Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:
He will show us his birth certificate
He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
He will show us his social security card.
He will show us his law degree.
He will show us his draft notice.
He will show us his medical records.
He will show us his income tax records.
He will show us he has nothing to hide.
Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show
him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the
United States.
You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the
Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is,
and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or
practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn this
financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into.
We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt,
but someone with Romney's background can do it.
He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked
pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists,
nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the U.S.

this is driving the left MAD! and when all they can do is point at Bain Capital for "outsourcing" while the POTUS is outsourcing green energy money to foriegn companies....

And demanding 10 years of tax returns from Romney.... while the POTUS has sealed records up of his own, and allows the fast and furious question to linger....

this is transparency working in reverse.... Obamas arrogant, narcissitic campaign exposing his advisors hypocracy.

how about seeing politics on ability?

disension is not racism...

If you went that route - I would have voted Alan Keyes to be the US Senator from Illinios instead of Obama. But I dont live there....

I would vote Condellisa Rice as VP .. but unfortately has too much GWB / Iraq war baggage.... BUT quite capable to be in charge in my opinion.

So also I wont apologise for NOT voting for this phony in 2008

I like Herman Cain, Allen West even Colin Powell (before he threw GWB under the bus) and anyone else who is like me or rather my ideals politically....

I wouldn't say that was an opinion but the TruTh.

Some will not look at charachter when voting they will only look at how much they will receive in welfare and free gifts.

Exactly true.

Whether or not you are on board with all his political stances it's hard to say Romney isn't a decent human being.

And I have no idea how you guys squeezed a race aspect out of that.

Oh I know. But that's to be expected when people see politics on black and white Woody

**********************************************

I took this to mean that Woody was referring to racism.

Otherwise, he could have said "See politics IN black and white"... and I would have understood

that he was talking about issues 100 percent one way, or 100 percent the other, no grey area.

Now, ON politics... doesn't mean that. If you see human relationships based ON black and white, that's black people and white people.

But, I'll give Woody the benefit of the doubt as far as legit typo goes - the "i" is right next to the "o" on the keyboard.

Awesome.... That's just what Cal, T and Bunker needed

but its a very real issue - Im sorry for the misunderstanding earlier, but surprise! It was brought up, by none other than the Obama campaign- Lucas herself....

hard not to NOT bring this up when there are a whole lot of people who didnt vote, and wont vote for Obama... and has nothing to do with color! just ability

Well if people are gonna get all outraged and make generalizations because of dumb things said on one side of the aisle it only makes sense we make just as much of an issue about the reverse, where racism hurts Obama.

But that won't happen because the powers that on this board do not believe it exists

I don't think, or at least I hope, that either are that big of any issue

I am most likely voting 3rd party- both the Ds & Rs suck, and seem to only care about their political agendas.

I used to lean towards the Rs, especially on the National level, as their policies made sense to me in the 80s & 90s, for the most part. Deregulation, under Reagan, hurt my father's business, yet we pretty much remained Rs.

The Rs have totally lost me now. Blaming hard working Americans for budget woes while they line their pockets with overseas money & tax loopholes. I was hoping Obama could get it together, and he's failed (Congress isn't helping too much either).

I just hope that all the die-hard Ds & Rs realize it's time to quit pledging allegiance to these nimwits who have put our great country in peril...don't vote D or R this time around.

?Sorry, Bob, but you completely lost me on the blaming part.

That's the occupiers and Obamao you are talking about. BTW, how did dereguatlion hurt the business? I can only guess by encouraging competition to flourish.

Seriously, I don't see what it would have hurt. I thought it would have hurt to have all the regulation to remain in place.
