The bad news, is that it is also a drama, with some pretty good stuff. All in all, it's a fun movie. Tommy Lee Jones and Merryl Streep are a married couple, who have totally lost every bit of intimacy and communication in their marriage. They live this way for years, until she womans up and decides that they will go to a save your marriage retreat. It's a fun movie, with these two actors making a ton of unspoken moments very real, funny, or just pretty sad. There was one point in the movie that I didn't get. They were finally going to make love, and he broke it off for whatever reason. She's pretty hands offish about all that, and he seems like he gave up years ago, on account that he fantasizes about the lady neighbor... It was a fine performance, is a fine couples movie. It isn't for young teens - language, sex stuff, etc. the ending is uplifting. A good solid couples movie. You will not think you wasted your money on tickets. Nooooobody is going to think that Tommy and Merryl are hot....far from it. But we had fun watching it the whole time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
