Dick Mellon
The biggest difference between Luck, Weeden, Tannehill and RG3 was the number of attempts. RG3 was the only QB on opening day who had a great game. He was also the QB with the fewest passing attempts. RG3 was the only rookie starter with a strong running game, and the only rookie to win on opening day. Mike Shanahan has a long, distinguished history of prioritizing the running game no matter who he has under center, (from Elway to Grossman.) I saw the same thing with rookie Roethlisberger. His OC, Ken Wisenhunt strictly limited him to about 20 ATT’s a game, giving him a ridiculously high efficiency rating. The notoriously pass-happy Bruce Arians called 13 running plays and 45 passing plays leading to a bad day for Mr. Luck and the Colts. Life is hard enough on a rookie QB without putting the game on his arm. The opening day results were quite linear. Opening Day Passer Ratings: Griffin: 139.90 Luck: 52.91 Tanehill: 39.00 Weeden 05.
The Cysko Kid
Good on rg3 and the skins. I hate the saints almost as much as the steelers.

Harry Buffalo
If it was a GPA he would be doing awesome. The only positive I can take away from it is that at least the two guys drafted ahead of him didn't have good games either. Better games but still not good or even average. The Cysko Kid
Well ok, but rg3 was drafted ahead of him and looked special. The other two not so much
Harry Buffalo
Well ok, but rg3 was drafted ahead of him and looked special. The other two not so much Oh I know but the other two were top 10 picks too and Luck was #1. Weeden still had the worst game by far but it is still good to know that two of the guys taken a head of him still looked like rookies too. The Cysko Kid
They've all got a lot of maturing to do. Too bad weeden has a lot less time to do it in.

Bright side is that if he doesn't start looking better at least we get Barkley, an actual WCO QB. Hope not but still.
Dick Mellon
If it was a GPA he would be doing awesome. If it was a batting average (512) he would have had a helluva game! If it was a pitching ERA (5.12)it would have been high!

dawg08
Weeden was down right horrible! I don't care if he was a rookie or not. A HS school kid could have come in and played better than him!
