let me start by saying I feel the browns pain, I am a bills fan after all...and at least you guys have smelled the playoff roses more recently than my beloved bills...

I am going to be in town this weekend for the showdown, looking for some advice on which lot to tailgate in....I know the Muni lot is supposed to be all the rage, but would they be friendly to a bills group? (we arent obnoxious)...are there any other lots that are known to host Bills fans from previous years?

Most importantly, what time do the lots open around the Cleveland parts?

ANY info is greatly appreciated, and im looking forward to a fun filled weekend in Cleveland!

Bills fans are liked, you won't have any problems. Get to the lot by 7 AM or you are a pussy.

I plan on being there at 7...is that what time ALL lots open or JUST the muni lot?

They all open at 6. We usually go straight to the lot around midnight and drink all night until the sun comes up and then start punching anyone with an opposing jersey on. But that probably won't happen to you.

I really don't know if it is 6 or 7, just show up. And, trust me, no one will be insulted at anything directed at Dick Jauron.

The denizens of this board hold their own tailgate. See the Tailgate forum in this site for directions etc. Fans of other teams have always been welcome with open arms....and open legs. (for The Who fans out there).

I think though that it may be BYOF and BYOB, though there is usually a lot of extra beer flowing around....and, you will be initiated into the ritual of The Orange Shit. Thanks to Hoorta.

(I had to throw beer away after the last tailgate, so I would rather have someone drink it than have to pitch it)

Well, I won't be making it to the Bills game, so no Orange Stuff. (Bengals game will be my next visit). Ed & Don aren't "officially" tailgating anymore- but that lot under the bridge does work- it's dirt cheap for one thing- only $5, haven't checked Muni's price but it's got to be at least $20. Only bad thing for the Settler's Landing Lot is if you stay to the end of the game, it's a slow go to get out of- unless you're going to West 25th.

For a Bills fan- the Muni lot exits directly onto I-90, so once you clear Stadium traffic, it's a straight shot back to Buffalo.

I will say I have been to CLE actually quite a bit, and their fans are no nearly as bad to opposing fans as other teams are.

Even the Dog Pound as mellowed with Bills fans recently, I tie that to all the Browns days we had for them after the lost their team.

Ya, we like you guys. Ralph Wilson stood up against the move and you guys had those Browns days. Plus we have a lot in common: Lake Erie and heartbreak. Maybe two best franchises never to win a Super bowl. Up until the last decade+ where have both struggled mightily.

That said, we're going to kick your asses on Sunday, you toothless bastard.

I think were gonna do the Muni lot, we are staying about 2 miles away from stadium at Hilton Garden down town, it looks like a straight shot to the Muni lot, and then from what I gathered here, muni lot empties directly onto the 90 which will be good for my DD when he gets us all home haha...so I guess if you guys are in the muni lot, dont throw things at the bills fans!

Rock on and id say good luck on sunday, but I truly, truly do not mean it...

oh ill be bringing my own food and drink for sure....lots of grillables and snacks, and bloody marys (gonna be a late one saturday night out at one of your local taverns while watching the UFC fight - I grew up with Jon Jones)...thanks for the advice

OK, come to our tailgate....we'll drink your women and chase your beer.

(Clevelanders know this line from the Alex Bevan classic)

I would venture to say that you might have a few security cameras on you there.

So...be careful.

Where are you guys talking about? Just curious about where to park, I've always been in the same lot. Is it the lot with the railroad tracks next to the lake?

lots of bills fans will be in Cleveland for this game! cant wait to get there Saturday night and party!!! GO BILLS. goodluck to the browns every other game this year though!

If you like good Bar Food and a great beer list check out the Winking Lizard at the corner of 9th Street and Huron. :) The entire area around Gateway has been revitalized, and if you want to leave some $$$ in Cleveland, the Casino is now open for business.

we were going to go there but they wont take a reservation for dinner, and with 14 people I wanted to be sure we could get one big table and not wait for 2 hours...so were going to City Tap instead (because they allowed us a reservation and are showing the UFC fight)
