Westside Steve
They didn't need cable for that in france. At least, only the one the blade was dangling from.So you don't think that improvements in communication helped to advance and promote the revolutions around the world?Or you are just being, or what's the word, oh yes, contrary? Though, if you are unaware of the french revolution where the aristocracy was all beheaded at the guillotine I can at least redeem some pride... Then it's my own stupidity if I missed a joke but we all know of the guillotine and the French Revolution. Had the peasants only heeded the words of Marie Antoinette and actually eaten cake everything would have been well. WSS
gftChris
To your point, of course better communication helps activists of all walks get more organised. On the flip side, it also dilutes enthusiasm for a topic by bringing so many more to light. If you were so inclined you could protest something every week in London, there are always rallies going on. Next weekend is nuclear disarmament, for example. Last weekend was support for the NHS/junior doctors.

I'm just talking about the space between the Czar and the Bolsheviks, where it was easier for the masses to hear from one unified set of revolutionaries, rather than 1 outlaw in every village.
