Middle linebacker D’Qwell Jackson said the players are excited to be ushered into the Haslam era partly because of the organization’s shift to a more aggressive marketing approach.

“That’s what’s going to be exciting about Cleveland moving forward,” Jackson said. “He’s going to bring excitement, he’s going to bring people and he’s going to get outside forces to notice Cleveland and notice the guys in this locker room. We’ve got a lot of good players. It’s about time that someone actually comes in and actually understands the business.”

I wonder what other marketing things Haslam is talking about. Im just glad to have an active owner now.

i heard if you work at one of his truck stops and are a 'clean-up guy'..after dissecting and cleaning each ball hair from customers you get a ticket punched which, (after 10 punches), you get a free slurppy. or as anyone that knows porn.....an oral creampie. HA!!

Not the manliest channel on the dial, but it looks pretty interesting:

Browns

What's unmanly about a channel that shows you places where the girls use corks and bandages for swimsuits, great food, and great wine?

It's one of my top 5 channels.

I bet we're on Hard Knocks next year.

Haslams wife Dee is co-producer of this show. I think we might stay here if it flys.

10PM Tuesday on The Travel Channel.

Next, on Travel Channel: The Browns' new series, "NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns," premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m, on the Travel Channel, which has partnered with NFL Films and Dee Haslam's RIVR Media.

"The show is going to provide unprecedented access to a team during the regular season," said producer J.W. Johnson, Jimmy Haslam's son-in-law. "It's a behind-the-scenes look at things that have never been seen before."

The show, which will air five episodes, includes features on players such as Phil Dawson and T.J. Ward with their families.

"That whole thing's been fun," said Dawson. "It makes you a little more careful how you conduct yourself. They came down to Austin on the bye week, so they were able to see me and my family back home all together and any chance I get to showcase them is fun for me."

Johnson said there will be plenty of shots of Jimmy Haslam at games and traveling with the team.

"Obviously Jimmy is very passionate -- as is the entire family -- about this organization and we all want to win football games," said Johnson. "Seeing how passionate he is about the game and the team is very special."

Haslam described the show as "a softer version of Hard Knocks."

Right. Anyone that knows me knows that my top hobby is travel. (even above sports). So there is nothing wrong with the Travel channel.

Is Samantha Brown still doing shows? Always like her. She was a cute little hottie.

Five minutes in and I'm really digging Haslem's attitude about this. This guy will bring the browns back to respectability.

The Browns are looking GREAT................

Nothing about the team, just the weather, and the stadium.

Gotta love it

The show is supposed to be mostly about the crews preparing for the games at home and moving the team when they are away. The players are secondary in this show. What were you expecting? Hardknocks?

Jimmy has been owner for a few months and the Browns already are getting exposure. I loved the show, and finally feel that the corner that we have all been waiting to turn is within sight. GO BROWNS!

Finally Cleveland has another good sports team owner. Now its time to get the Dolans outta here.

Amen.

The only bad thing about the show is the fact that it was only a half hour. I thought it was to be an hour long show.

Also, the number of commercials was daunting. I would wager that of the 30 minutes of this program about 12-14 were taken up with commercials.

That is also the problem now with NFL games.

I will let you in on a little secret: I now rarely watch the Browns live. So far this year I have only taped their game and watched them later, fast forwarding through the commercials and half time. I have no interest in watching fucking commercials.

If I am watching live TV I ALWAYS change the channel when commercials come on...even for a show I really like.

What's a commercial? I think the last time I watched a commercial was during the super bowl. I watch all the Browns games live but immediately switch to another game during the commercials.

Well, I actually have another reason for not watching them live: I want to live. The stress of watching them live has gotten so bad that I get chest pains if I do it. Seriously. So I will tape them and watch it after I hear the final score. If they win I watch the game a couple of times. If they lose, I will sometimes watch it....sometimes watch part of it...and fast forward through other parts of the game.
