DTBH
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/plaindeale....xml&coll=2 It would make way more sense that he would be a linebackers coach in the first place, wouldn't it? He was a defensive line coach in New York but it still doesn't make sense.
Tobalaz
Cox was a high strung kind of player, like K2 but on the defensive side of the ball. I'd have thought a lb coaching job would have been better for him, but as long as he knows the schemes and can teach some passrushing/ runblocking techniques I'll take him. YtownBrownsBacker
The man was definately intense as a player. My only concern is how good of a teacherhe would be. I think he could definately modivate guys. I definately could see him getting in someones's face.
Guest Aloysius
Rob Ryan wants to bring in his LB coach from Oakland, Don Martindale. Problem is that Martindale's also a candidate for the head coaching job there. Al Davis's holding off on a decision seems to be holding back our assistant coaching hires. Ryan wants Martindale, and Mangini is said to be interested in bringing in Tom Cable to be OL coach. If Martindale gets the job in Oakland, maybe Cox moves to LB's (though his lack of experience coaching the position could be a problem).
Earl34
I've seen this guy up close coaching. He's intense as a coach as he was a player. I don't know if that translates into being a "good" coach but I couldn't stop laughing at his wit and the players really respond to him.
