I'd be surprised if anyone could defend this piece of crap of a deal that was foisted upon us the other night. First of all I didn't care at all about the phony cliff. I don't think anyone with a brain could have bought into that hype. The only good thing was to dump that ridiculous payroll tax reduction. Seriously if no 1 is going to adjust Social Security then we're going to have to pay for it, probably more very soon. I'd have been happy to let the Defense Department scramble to see what they could get by with. I don't think any agency will make reasonable adjustments or cuts to their wasteful spending until they are forced to. This really is a disaster waiting to happen. He promised: 1) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary, No longer Voluntary 2) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program, Now 7.65% On the first $90,000. 3) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year, No longer tax deductible 4) That the money the participants put in went to the Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the General Operating Fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and, Under Johnson the money was moved to The General Fund and spent. 5) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. Under Clinton & Gore up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants? A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it! waiting to see what comes next ..... Obama... your move? And Obamao is demanding that he be given the power to raise said debt ceiling at his whim. Projected federal deficit at the end of ObaMao's term? about twenty TRILLION...or more. Big, serious trouble. And this comes from the same Obamao president asswipe that bitterly crticized BUSH's DEBT.... as "Unpatriotic"...
