I guess you could say this is the first "Pre Super Bowl" post on here.

So, for what its worth, the winner of this coming Super Bowl will be the leader for the Team of the Decade title. Following are the standings after the conference champinship games.

Note the rules for this: a team get 1 point for making the playoffs, a team gets 3 points for losing the conference title game (here Pats and Falcons), a team gets 6 points for losing the Super Bowl and 10 points for winning the Super Bowl. So here is what we have:

The Super Bowl contestants are as follows:

Ravens have 1+3 pts. A win will give them 14 overall pts. A loss will give them 10

49ers have 3 pts. A will will give them 13 pts, a loss will give them 9 pts.

Nevertheless, whomever wins takes over the lead from the Packers who sit at 12 pts.(after their playoff loss to the 49ers)

Packers 10+1+1 for 12 points

Giants 10 for 10 pts

Pats 1+6+3 for 10 pts

Steelers 6+1 for 7 pts

Falcons 1+1+3 for 5 pts

Bears 3 for 3 pts.

Jets 3 for 3 pts.

Seahawks 1 + 1 for 2 pts

Saints 1+1 for 2 pts

Colts 1+1 for 2 pts

Texans 1+1 for 2 pts

Broncos 1+1 for 2 pts

Bengals 1+1 for 2 pts

Chiefs 1 pt.

Eagles 1 pt.

Lions 1 pt.

Vikings 1 pt.

Redskins 1 pt.
