Muslims Think They Own The Place.

Anyone that thinks muslims are a peaceful religion are full of it. They have one goal, world domination at any cost. And the fools who cater to them are helping their cause. They have a huge mosque on 130th St. in Parma near where my mother lives. I can picture this type of intimidation happening here in the near future unless we start getting tough.

It seems that there are plenty of peaceful Muslims, but along with that, comes a whole lot of extremists. It's a built-in trojan horse,

right there in the Koran. Pretty sad that a religion thrives on deceit and hideous violence to protect it's own existence, and to keep

members from ever leaving.

historically religion has been a lot less dangerous than patriotism. nationalism

Actually, Steve, that isn't true. You mean "nationalism" , correct? There's a huge difference.

actually my friend I think the difference is semantic. I mean when you think about it George Washington would be called a patriot because his side won when in fact the term mutineer might have been more appropriate.

The actual Patriots there would have been the Loyalistsfighting to preserve their country as they believed in it. How about Robert E Lee,and Jefferson Davis patriots or...?

As I understand it, and I went and look up some back up:

*****************

Nationalism vs Patriotism
“Nationalism and patriotism both show the relationship of an individual towards his or her nation. The two are often confused and frequently believed to mean the same thing. However, there is a vast difference between nationalism and patriotism.
Nationalism means to give more importance to unity by way of a cultural background, including language and heritage. Patriotism pertains to the love for a nation, with more emphasis on values and beliefs.
When talking about nationalism and patriotism, one cannot avoid the famous quotation by George Orwell, who said that nationalism is ‘the worst enemy of peace’. According to him, nationalism is a feeling that one’s country is superior to another in all respects, while patriotism is merely a feeling of admiration for a way of life. These concepts show that patriotism is passive by nature and nationalism can be a little aggressive.”
Even here the distinctions aren’t clear. You start to get the feeling for each but there’s a lot of bleed-over (so to speak).
It goes on:
“Patriotism is based on affection and nationalism is rooted in rivalry and resentment. One can say that nationalism is militant by nature and patriotism is based on peace.”

With all the talk here about patriotism and religion, it should be mentioned that hard core Islamic countries are Theocracies...meaning the government is the religion, and the religion is the government...hence Sharia law.

Unlike Christian nations and Israel, being patriotic and being religious for all intents and purposes is synonomous in many Islamic states.

I love the "pork and wine" protests by the French. Good move.

What is Islam?

The word "Islam" means peace and submission. Peace means to be at peace with yourself and your surroundings. Submission means submission to the will of God. A broaded meaning of the word "Islam" is to achieve peace by submitting to the will of God.

Who is Allah?

Allah is the Arabic word for "one God". Allah is God for not only Muslims. He is God of all creations, because He is their Creator and Sustainer. Allah is also used by Arab Christians.

Who is a Muslim?

The word "Muslim" means one who submits to the will of God. This is done by declaring that "there is no god except one God and Muhammad is the messenger of God." All the prophets preceding the prophet Muhammad are considered Muslims. The Quran specifically mentions Abraham who lived long before Prophet Moses and Prophet Jesus that, "he was not a Jew or a Christian but a Muslim".

Who was Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

Briefly, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in a noble tribe of Makkah in Arabia in the year 570 AD. His ancestry goes back to Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him), son of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). His father died before his birth and his mother died when he was six. He did not attend a formal school since he was raised first by a nurse as it was the customo those days. He was then raised by his grandfather and then his uncle. As a young man, he was known as a righteous and honest person. He used to meditate in a cave. At age 40, he was given the prophethood when the angel, Gabriel, appeared in the cave. Subsequenty, the revelations came over 23 years and were compiled in the form of a book called the Quran. Muslims consider the Quran as the final and last word of God. The Quran has been preserved, unchanged, in its original form and confirms the truth in the Torah, the psalms and the Gospel.

Do Muslims worship Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

Muslims do not worship Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) or any other prophets. Muslims believe in all prophets including Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Moses and Jesus. Muslims believe that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last of the prophets. They believe that God alone is to be worshipped, not any human being or any other creation.

What do Muslims think of Jesus (peace be upon him)?

Muslims think highly of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and his mother, Mary. The Quran tells us that Jesus was born of a miraculous birth without a father. "Lo! The likeness of Jesus with Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then He said unto him: Be and he is" (Quran 3:59). He was given many miracles as a prophet. These include speaking soon after his birth in defense of his mother's piety. God's other gifts to him included healing the blind and the sick, reviving the dead, making a bird out of clay and most importantly, the message he was carrying. These miracles were given to him by God to establish him as a prophet. According to the Quran, he was not crucified but was raised into Heaven. (Quran, Chapter Mary).

What are the pillars of Islam?

There are five pillars of Islam. These are:

  1. Shahadah (belief): Belief in one God and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His last messenger.
  2. Salat (prayer): Prayers that are prescribed five times a day.
  3. Saum (Fasting): Fasting which is required in the month of Ramadan.
  4. Zakat (Charity): Charity is given to the poor-due from one's wealth.
  5. Hajj (pilgrimage): All muslims should take a pilgirmage to Makkah if they can afford it physically and financially.
What is the purpose of worship in Islam?

The purpose of worship in Islam is to be conscious of God at all times. Thus the worship, whether it is prayer, fasting or charity is a means to achieve God consciousness.

Do Muslims believe in the Hereafter?

Yes. Muslims believe that the present life is temporary. God has established accountabiliy system. He is Just. Those who do good in this world will be rewarded in the afterlife and those who do wrong will be punished.

Will non-believers be rewarded for their good deeds?

The Qur'an states that "Anyone who has done an atom's weight of good will see it and anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil will also see it" (Qur'an 99:7-8). This means that non-believers who have done good will be rewarded in this world for their good deeds. On the other hand, those who do good if they are Muslims will be rewarded not only in this world but also in the world hereafter. However, the final judgement is up to God Himself, (Qur'an 2:62) and depends on both deeds and intentions of the individual.

What is the dress code for a Muslim?

Islam emphasizes modesty to protect individuals and society. No person should be perceived as a sex object. There are certain guidelines for both men and women. Their dress should neither be thin nor tight enough to reveal body forms, must at least cover the area from the knee to navel. For women, their dress should cover all areas except the hands and face.

What are the dietary prohibitions in Islam?

Muslims are forbidden from eating pork or pork products, meat of animals that died before being slaughtered, meat of carnivorous animals (because they eat dead animals), blood, intoxicants such as wine or use any illicit drugs.

What is Islamic Year?

The Islamic year started from the migration (Hijra) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Makkah to Madinah in 622 A.D. It is a lunar year of 354 days. The first month is called Muharram. 2000 A.D. was in Islamic year 1420 A.H.

What are the major Islamic festivals?

The two major festivals are:

Eid-al-Fitr: marks the end of Ramadan (month of fasting). It is celebrated with public prayers, feasts and exchange of gifts.

Eid-al-Adha: corresponds the Hajj or the annual pilgrimage to Makkah. After the public prayers, those who can afford it, sacrifice a lamb or a goat to signify Prophet Abraham's obedience to God, shown by his readiness to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael).

What is Shariah?

Shariah is the eternal and comprehensive Muslim moral code derived from two sources: Qur'an and Sunnah (traditions of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him). It covers every aspect of daily individual and collective living. The purpose of Islamic laws is protection of individual's basic human rights, right to life, property, political and religious freedom and safeguarding the rights of women and minorities.

I will now go into more detail. I lived in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of the Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings be upon him) for 15 months working as an independent contractor. I had no clue what to expect, was in for a culture shock.

Muslims pray publicly 5 times a day, every day. The cry of "Allah Ahkbar" is projected from loudspeakers. Five times a day all stores close and all work ceases. They pray on sidewalks, in lobbies...where ever they happen to be at the call to prayer. They also face toward Mecca, site of the holy Kaaba when they pray.

Ramadan is a month set aside for fasting. Fasting occurs for most of the day...not even water is allowed. The only time eating is allowed is between 12 midnight and I believe 6 or 7 am. This occurs for an entire month. This ritual is partly to demononstrate what it feels like to be without. It is frowned upon to eat in front of them

The reason they don't eat pig, is because the Koran (and the Old Testament) states the animals God permits you to eat must BOTH have a split hoof and chew a cud ( when you notice an animal like a cow or rabbit looking like they are chewing gum, they are actually re-chewing the regurgitated contents of ther stomachs known as the "cud"). A cow chews its cud and has a split hoof...OK to eat a cow. A pig has a forked hoof but doesnt chew a cud...NOT GOOD. A horse chews a cud, but no split hoof...NOT GOOD...same with a camel and rabbit. Lambs and sheep chew their cuds and have forked hoofs...OK to eat them...you get the point.

"Hadj" is the pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba in Mecca. All Muslims around the world are expected to make this pilgrimage at least once in their life.

Women are covered from head to toe, only allowing slits for their eyes. They are not permitted to do such things as drive or smoke, and when with a man in public, they are usually seen walking behind the man as if they were being led like a horse.

Foreign women are reqired to cover up, but can show their faces. Their hair must be covered though.

Weddings are arranged and dowerys are paid to the father of the bride to be. A man is allowed as many wives as he can afford.

King Fahd hospital where I worked, a teenage girl was admitted nearly beaten to death by her father and brother because she was caught in an adulterous affair. The men were not arrested because they had that right...after all a girl with her cherry popped is worthless to the father who was expecting a handsome dowery.

Many Muslim countries practice female genetelia mutilation, but not in Saudi, in case you were curious.

Men and woman cannot intermingle..at a McDonalds for example there was a mens seating section, a womans seating section, and a family seating section. There is no dating, no bars (alcohol is banned). Every magazine that enters the country that happens to have a photo of a woman who shows some skin is blackened out.

Pepsi is not allowed to be imported, and you won't see a Ford product. I believe it's either because they have plants in Israel or their respective board members have Jews on them. The two most popular cars when I was there was the M.Benz and the Chevy Impala...(I just gave away my age)

No Christian can enter the holy cities of Mecca or Medina. Upon arrival in Saudi, I had my passport taken and substituded for a brown "igama" sp?. You were supposed to carry this ID with you at all times. A white igama was issued to foreigners who were Muslims, they of course were permitted to enter the holy cities.

At a hospital that I worked, a teenage girl was admitted nearly beaten to death by her father and brother because she was caught having pre marital sex.. The men were not arrested because they had that right...after all a girl with her cherry popped is worthless to the father who was expecting a handsome dowery.

A story I must tell is the time my boss had asked a Fillipina (female) janitor who had typing skills do some work for him.

As he was leaning over her shoulder pointing at stuff on the computer CRT, an Arab happened to peek into the office and started having a hissy fit in Arabic. The very next day my boss gets summoned to the directors office and it is explained to him that if a man and woman are alone in a room, there are really 3 in the room...the man, the woman, and the devil. Because if you're not "thinking it" then she is, and if she's not "thinking it" then you are.

He's right, cause I'm always "thinking it" too when with a pretty girl!

If there is an execution, it is held on a Friday. Murderers and rapists are executed by beheading. Thieves have their hand cut off (although I believe this is done these days by an MD). Executions are open to the public. I was invited but respectfully declined.

An Egyptian MD explained to me the details however...he explained that the prisoner is doped up an placed on his knees, head bowed forward.. In this particular case the dazed prisoner had fallen over and had to be positioned upright again. The executioner performed a little dance with his sword and with one blow the head comes off and tumbles forward..amid the cheering crowd as if a soccer goal was scored.

I could go on and on with the stories. Mind you Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and Islam, therefore it is very strict....especially near the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. Secondly my experience there happened a long tme ago, pehaps they are more liberal today...doubt it though. Maybe there is Pepsi and Fords there now,

Why you would rail against Islam and then include (peace and blessings be upon him) is beyond me. Fuck Islam. I hate their religion and I'm not going to pretend to respect it. Also, I've seen hundreds of beheadings on video and not one of them was accomplished in one stroke. Maybe with a katana it would be possible but not with a machete or a curved Arabic sword. In reality it takes multiple hacks to accomplish. Its never clean.

I just cut and pasted from the Cleveland Mosque web site, didn't add anything if you were referring to me.
