Those flag waving, red white and blue wearing, fireworks watching, democrat freaks that celebrated Independence Day don't have a clue behind it's real meaning. Independence Day marked the freedom from British government oppression. Those entitlement seeking leftists on the other hand may as well have celebrated the opposite... "Dependence Day".... being ever more so dependent on government and supportive of a nanny state.. They actually admit to "belonging to the Government" and are proud of it.
