White Dog
Russian Military To Conduct “Observation Flights” Over US (Voice of Russia) A group of Russian inspectors will conduct observation flights on a Tu-154M Lk-1 plane over the United States and Canada in the framework of the international Open Skies Treaty, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said. “The flights will be carried out on July 7-21 from Open Skies airfield Elmendorf [the US] and Trenton [Canada],” the press office said. Such observation flights are performed in order to assist the openness and transparency in the military activities of treaty state members and to enhance security through strengthening trust measures, the press office said. The flights will fly a previously approved route and US and Canadian specialists on board will control the use of observation equipment and implementation of agreements which have been reached. These will be 19th and 20th observation flights of the Russian jets above the treaty states members in 2013 http://govtslaves.info/russian-military-to-conduct-observation-flights-over-us/
calfoxwc
Great. They already have toyed with our airspace to figure out the range of our radar, etc. All they'd have to do is over power any Americans and Canadians on board, and drop a nuke. Sounds like a movie that will come out sometime. Maybe it's like "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" whatever the actual saying is..... White Dog
lol, a joint US-Russian-Canadian exercise and you tin foil hats are already suggesting world war 3 and subterfuge. To my naive little man, this is just a little bit of news. You may call it tin foil material but in reality you have a lot to learn about sovereignty and protection of our borders. Come back when you have something worth reading to say.

calfoxwc
A Russian plane can easily be fitted with auto-operating surveillance and monitoring equipment, and they could learn tons about our defenses, like radar,....possible interference over U.S. sir space to some of their equipment....various frequencies near military bases....a lot of stuff. And these American experts would have no idea.
sadbrownsfan
The Cold war ended in 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall... I was 9 at the time. You really think we would let them see anything we didn't want them to see? Despite whatever politcal stance you take, our military will only show a certain portion of what they want to show, and our military will be watching and trying to gauge what type of equipment they are using. DieHardBrownsFan
Now this was a spy aircraft. Even by todays standards it is awesome. Used to see these taking off from Kadena AB on Okinawa all the time in the 80's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_SR-71_Blackbird
