The Browns play the Rams this week in their first preseason affair, but since they do not play them in the regular season, I will do some Rams/Browns trivia. (btw...the Browns play both the Lions and Bears in preseason then follow up with regular season games with both of those teams):

Try these:

1. What is the Browns all time regular season head to head record vs. the Rams?

2. What was the result of the last Browns/Rams regular season matchup?

3. What was the result of the last Browns/Rams postseason matchup?

4. A. What was the Cleveland Rams record in their first season of play in 1937?

B. What was the Cleveland Rams record in their last season in Cleveland in 1945?

5. What Hall of Fame player for the Rams also served a stint as the Rams Head Coach?

6. How many years did Kurt Warner serve as the Rams primary Quarterback?

7. Which Browns second round draft pick WR later went on to be selected for the Pro Bowl for the Rams?

8. Which Browns first round draft pick RB later went on to be selected for the Pro Bowl for the Rams?

9. Which Rams player in their history had been selected the most times to the Pro Bowl?

10. Which significant starting QB for the Browns did they obtain in a trade with the Rams?

11. Bob Waterfield and Norm Van Brocklin are well known HOF QBs for the Rams. What other HOF QB did a stint with the Rams?

12. When was the last time the Rams made the playoffs?

Bonus: State how many years the Rams played in each of these locations:

Cleveland:

LA/Anaheim:

St. Louis:

Try these:

No one gave a damn about our preseason opponents, eh?

1. What is the Browns all time regular season head to head record vs. the Rams?

The Browns are 9-10 vs. the Rams in the regular season.

2. What was the result of the last Browns/Rams regular season matchup?

Rams have that edge by virtue of a 13-12 win over the Browns in 2011. (a real Pat Shurmur special of a game)

3. What was the result of the last Browns/Rams postseason matchup?

Browns won 38-14....in the 1955 NFL title game. None since 1955 (even into the 60s when both teams were good)

Prior Browns/Rams postseason matchups:

1950 Browns win 30-28 in NFL title game

1951 Rams win 24-17 in NFL title game.

4. A. What was the Cleveland Rams record in their first season of play in 1937? 1-10

B. What was the Cleveland Rams record in their last season in Cleveland in 1945? 10-1 with the NFL title in hand.

5. What Hall of Fame player for the Rams also served a stint as the Rams Head Coach?

Bob Waterfield...3 years in early 60s

6. How many years did Kurt Warner serve as the Rams primary Quarterback?

He only QBd that team for 3 years: 1999, 2000, 2001....with 2 SB appearances and one win...but I guess Mike Martz thought he was no good.

7. Which Browns second round draft pick WR later went on to be selected for the Pro Bowl for the Rams?

Speedster Ron J. Brown, drafted round 2 by Browns in 1983.

8. Which Browns first round draft pick RB later went on to be selected for the Pro Bowl for the Rams?

Charles White

9. Which Rams player in their history had been selected the most times to the Pro Bowl?

Merlin Olsen 14 time PBer

10. Which significant starting QB for the Browns did they obtain in a trade with the Rams?

Frank Ryan. Our last championship QB. He played 4 years for the Rams, then 7 with the Browns, then 2 with the Redskins before going back to school.

11. Bob Waterfield and Norm Van Brocklin are well known HOF QBs for the Rams. What other HOF QB did a stint with the Rams?

Uh....Joe Namath. Joe started 4 games for the Rams, went 2-2 with 50 completion out of 107 attempts for 606 yards and 3 TDs.

12.12 ypc, 5.66 ypa.

Those stats really weren't that bad, but Joe could hardly stand up or move around his knees were so bad. His arm never gave out, but his legs did.

(and you can ask Suzy Kolber how his lips work)

12. When was the last time the Rams made the playoffs? 2004. 8 running years with no playoff spot.

Bonus: State how many years the Rams played in each of these locations:

Cleveland: 8 years from 1937-1945

LA/Anaheim: 49 years from 1946-1994

St. Louis: 18 years, 19 counting 2013 1995-2012/13

They hav earned one title in each town.
