The Gipper
Here are some names of some free agents who are still out there that could possibly help in the OG and RB area, if necessary. Giving name plus former team: Guards Deuce Lutui... Titans Bobby Williams...Ravens Cooper Carlisle...Raiders Leonard Davis...49ers Reggie Wells...Chargers Derrick Dockery...Cowboys Antoine Cardwell...Texas Russ Hochstein...Chiefs Mitch Petrus...Titans Janus Richard...Pats Running backs: Michael Turner...Falcons Cedric Benson...Packers Beanie Wells...Cards Ryan Grant...Packers Kevin Smith...Lions Javon Ringer...Titans Any interest in these guys.....or in any other names that may be out there? (I know with cuts that some additional talent could break open) Speaking of which...when do the first cuts come? Maybe even as soon as this week? TypicalBrowns
usually after preseason game 3 is when cuts start, any 3rd stringers that have impressed so far that can fill in holes? we would pick up a guard in FA if anything

jrb12711
A lot of potential FA pickups will depend on how injured guys are put on the roster. Will Hardesty go PUP and Lewis on IR? I can't speak anything about Maysonet but I hope depending on the injuries we can add a steady force in the RB roster

August 27th - teams need to cut down to 75 August 31st - teams need to cut down to 53 That's when teams start filling in for injuries with guys who other teams can't keep for financial reasons or for depth reasons. Some teams will have too many RBs or OGs on their roster who are good and will need to get rid of one. I see no reason why the Browns won't grab AT LEAST one more RB after the first cut day, but could also pick up a G. Right now it looks like Gilkey will start, but if the team wants to get a vet backup, or a young guy they like, while they wait for Lauvao to get healthy they can grab somebody... I don't see any of these guys, especially the RBs, being much of an upgrade...
Tour2ma
Again with the LT dream, Z? What about Tiki? usually after preseason game 3 is when cuts start, any 3rd stringers that have impressed so far that can fill in holes? we would pick up a guard in FA if anything Agree.. since 3rd string RB's are generally on the team, picking up an OG is more likely. A trade for a RB is not out of the question. If there was a late pick or FA we had on our board that has shown well, we have some 2014 picks to spare.. not to mention our overabundance of LB's that have shown well. ballpeen
If it was me, I'd just wait until the final camp cuts and practice squads have been established. I'd start with the practice squads....that is where(IMO) you can pluck future starters. To me, they are the best of the "cut" players.
