PITTSBURGH -- The University of Pittsburgh says students involved in vandalism, fire-setting and other crimes after the Steelers' Super Bowl XLIII victory over the Arizona Cardinals will face discipline and could be expelled.

City police say more than 80 people were arrested Sunday night. Crowds threw bottles at police, set small fires, broke store windows and overturned cars. Much of the violence occurred in the Oakland neighborhood that is home to Pitt's main campus.

Chancellor Mark Nordenberg says an unspecified number of Pitt students already have been charged by the campus judicial system and others likely will be as police review surveillance videos.

Nordenberg wants to "ensure that this type of disturbance is not repeated on any of our campuses ever again."

Who the hell destroys their campus when you WIN?

Lol in the 80s if the browns had won one of the 2 games vs denver and went to the superbowl and then won it the whole state of ohio and every surrounding state would have been in danger from buckeye campuses..

Cleveland would have been rioted and pillaged for sure...lol

At least pukesburgh fans still have that rowdy rabid fanism the lerner era has beat it out of browns fans...:(

I graduated from Pitt,

Interesting that you went to Pitt - I always like to hear the stories from those among you who were not fortunate to get into college, and instead had to relegate themselves to entering Pitt. From your experiences at Pitt, has it made you deliver pizzas in a more efficient way, or did you have to subscribe to the University of Phoenix and take some on-line correspondence courses in addition?

Ohio State?

Heck, those idiots torch the place before their bowl game.

The looting began around 1 a.m. Sunday, hours after Ohio State defeated Michigan, 14-9. The win earned the Buckeyes, who have a record of 13-0, a trip to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Arizona, where they will play for the national title January 3.
