How many children and moms were in the home ? past the homes capacity? I wouldnt rush to judgement like this article does against the nuns in particular- when they even had to buck the catholic system in power and its neglect of caring for these "unmarrieds" So too certain protestant churches (back then) prolly had the same levels of disdain for the sinner.... I mean maybe those nuns got a message from god telling them that it was o.k. to neglect the children until they died? God works in mysterious ways.
