It gives the left a tool to "Lean on", alinski-style, anybody who isn't with the left. The left sets itself up as the intimidating owner of all personal space, thought, public discourse, so they can intimidate all political opposition. Watch an old WWII movie about the nazis. Watch a documentary on the takeover of European countries and total domination and control by the Soviet Union. It's about a sick kind of power that can be accrued by ruthless control over every single aspect of peoples' lives. Sure, it's a microcosm on college campuses, but still... Conservative speakers end up not speaking. Every aspect of decent beliefs criminalized to some degree or another. Frivolous lawsuits and social intimidation, job loss... like the two gov employees - the union demands they get fired... for having "I support Phil" decals on their vehicles.
